Job summary

Bunge in Rajpura, Punjab, India, seeks an Executive - QC (Packaging Lab) to ensure quality and compliance of packaging materials and lab processes. You will inspect, report, manage supplier quality, and uphold food safety standards across the packaging lab operations.

Role requires strong analytical skills, lab instrumentation knowledge, and experience with FSSC 22000 documentation and GMPs. Collaborative environment with cross-functional teams and regular audits.

Qualifications

• M.Sc (Chemistry) or B.Tech Food Technology with relevant industry experience.
• Minimum 5–8 years in quality control in edible oils/packaging labs.
• Strong understanding of FSSC 22000, GMPs, GHPs, HACCP and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling and IQC checks of packaging materials (cartons, jars, pouches, films) and prepare reports.
• Maintain daily records of PM receipts with COA and lab reports.
• Conduct in-house inspections and supplier audits; ensure calibration of lab instruments.
• Prepare daily MIS data and weekly/monthly quality reports.
• Ensure lab equipment calibration and compliance with time lines.

Business Title:

Executive- QC (Packaging Lab)

Reporting to:

Senior Manager - Quality Control

Role Purpose Statement:

To ensure quality and compliance of packaging materials and lab processes through effective inspection, reporting, supplier management, and adherence to food safety, quality, and safety standards.

Main Accountabilities:

• Sampling & IQC Check of all PM (Cartons, jars, pet bottles, pouch film, polyethene & misc. items etc), , testing & prepare manual reporting Maintain SAP entry , As per Bunge & Applicable Specification
• Maintain daily record of all PM receipt ( COA , Food Grade Certificates , External Lab Reports etc)
• In house blow molding jar inspection, sampling, testing & prepare manual report, Maintain in SAP.
• Daily inspection of Packing section /Reworking area & resolve the issue regarding packing material with procurement & supplier .
• Randomly Online Observation Packing Warehouse & Cold Room & share Nonconformity to Concern
• Preparation Daily MIS data of PM & circulate to concerns.
• Preparation Weekly Quality Report and share weekly basis.
• Monthly MIS & Asia management data Preparation and share every month
• Supplier evaluation & Supplier audits
• Preparation Calibrations of PM instruments & also AMC as required as per legal requirements.
• Plant Trial of PM regarding specs or artwork to be done with HO development, procurement & marketing team.
• To maintain the Packing lab as per FSSC-22000 requimnet .
• 5-S Management in Lab
• Conduct GMP Audits in plant & internal audits in plant as per standard requirements
• Ensure calibration of Lab equipment's as per time line ( internal & external )
• Hand experience on Lab Equipment's Gas chromatography, Spectrophotometer , Refractometer , NMR minispec , Tintometer etc.,
• Knowledge of FSSC 22000 V-6 Quality system standards including GMPs, GHPs, HACCP, .
• Accident /incident reporting, safety training etc. Provide support to organization to meet SHE target.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong analytical skills with focus on timely inspection and testing results.
• Ensure 100% compliance with legal, food safety (FS), and QMS requirements.
• Good knowledge of laboratory equipment and FSSC 22000 documentation standards.
• Understanding of edible oil industry, safety, and food safety practices.
• Committed to zero-incident culture with strong teamwork and collaboration.

Technical:

• Trained Internal Auditor in FSSC 22000 with strong expertise in packaging materials and edible oils analysis.
• Sound understanding of quality standards, testing parameters, and compliance requirements (FSSAI & Weights & Measures).
• Proficient in handling standard laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
• Strong planning, scheduling, and execution with analytical problem-solving approach.
• Effective communication, presentation skills, and a customer-focused mindset.

Education & Experience:

• M.Sc (Chemistry )/ B.tech Food( Technology)
• 5–8 years of relevant industry experience
