Job summary

Deccan AI is seeking a technically strong Technical Trainer to design and deliver training programs for data annotation teams. The ideal candidate has a developer or QA background, with strong programming knowledge and the ability to break down complex concepts into practical learning.

The role focuses on creating engaging training content, evaluating tests, and collaborating with QC and developer teams to update materials based on project needs. Office-based Hyderabad is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in QA or developer roles.
• Experience mentoring or team training.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with data labeling / ML annotation environment preferred.
• Experience with test case evaluation, debugging and code quality assessment.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging, structured training content and conduct technical sessions for data annotators.

• Collaborate with QC teams to benchmark model performance.

About the Role

• Create engaging, structured training content and conduct technical sessions for new and existing data annotators.
• Evaluate the quality and generality of submitted tests.
• Collaborate with QC teams to benchmark model performance.
• Develop training modules on annotation tools, coding standards, debugging, and data handling best practices.
• Conduct quality checks on annotated data to ensure adherence to guidelines and provide feedback for improvement.
• Maintain and analyze training and performance data using Excel or other tools to monitor annotator progress and skill growth.
• Partner with QA and Developer teams to update training materials based on project needs and annotation feedback loops.
• Collaborate with QC teams to benchmark model performance on annotation tasks, helping to assess problem difficulty

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with test case evaluation, debugging, and code quality assessment (preferably someone who has done PR reviews for production ready code).
• Minimum 2 years in QA or Developer roles.
• Prior exposure to mentoring or team training is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical ideas clearly.
• Comfortable managing performance tracking sheets and Excel-based dashboards.
• Experience with test case evaluation, debugging, and code quality assessment (preferably someone who has done PR reviews for production ready code).

Good to Have

• Experience working in a data labeling, ML training data, or AI annotation environment.
• Familiarity with ML model data pipelines and annotation quality parameters.
