Job summary

Birlasoft is seeking a Windchill Developer with 4–6 years of Windchill and ThingWorx customization. You will design, debug, and implement Windchill solutions, integrate PDM Link with CREO, and work across ERP/CAD interfaces. Strong Java, JS, SQL, and AWS exposure required. Work in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Responsibilities include development, documentation, testing, and maintenance of PLM processes, with a focus on BOM/Part/Document management and upgrade activities as needed.

Qualifications

• 4 to 6 years’ experience in PTC Windchill and ThingWorx customization.
• Experience in Solution Design, Windchill Customization Debugging, Documentation, Testing and Maintenance.
• Experience with agile methods, source management, automated testing, DevOps, and AWS.
• Strong knowledge of Windchill modules, PDM Link customization, XML and SQL.
• Proficiency in JAVA, J2EE, JSP, JavaScript; basic PLM processes (BOM, Part, Document Management).

Responsibilities

• Design and customize Windchill solutions and perform debugging.
• Develop Windchill features, publish and integrate with CREO/ERP.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, manage sources in Git/Jira, and ensure quality.
• Work on Windchill implementations, upgrades and migrations as needed.
• Collaborate on AWS-based deployments and performance tuning.

Brief Summary:

• 4 to 6 years’ experience in PTC Windchill and ThingWorx customization
• Experienced in: Solution Design, Windchill Customization Debugging, Windchill Development Fundamentals, Documentation, Software Testing, Software Maintenance, Software Performance Tuning,
• Strong product development methodology and tools experience including agile methods, source management, problem resolution, automated testing, DevOps, GITHUB, SVN etc.
• Experience working on AWS

Technical competences: (Required)

• Windchill Application
• Skilled in basic and advanced Java, Webservices, JavaScript, Shell scripting, SQL, HTML, CSS.
• Knowledge of Windchill implementation in basic modules is must
• Very skilled in PTC Windchill - PDM Link customization, XML, Database(SQL) programming
• In depth knowledge and good experience in JAVA, J2EE, JSP, Java Script
• Good understanding of basic PLM processes like BOM Management, Part Management, Document Management, EBOM, MBOM, CAD Integration, Configuration Management, Requirements management in PLM System.
• Knowledge of PDM Link – CREO Integration, Knowledge about various integrations like ERP integration, CAD integration etc. will be added advantage
• Experience in light weight generation, publication process, publishing etc
• Knowledge of BOMs in Context management & BOM Handling
• Basic knowledge of UML, Unix – administration
• Experience in Upgrade & migration is an added advantage
• Experience of Oracle, GIT, Jira tools and working in Agile setup
