Job summary

Fidelity International is seeking a Technical Specialist in Gurugram to deliver high-quality ETL solutions. You will design, develop and test data integration components, collaborating with business analysts and technical leads.

Qualifications

  • SQL/PLSQL experience with 7+ years.
  • Informatica Power Centre expertise (3+ yrs).
  • Experience with Oracle/SQL Server and UNIX scripting.
  • Familiarity with data warehouse, datamart and ODS concepts.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, normalization and OLAP techniques.
  • Experience in financial services domain is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, client-facing and collaboration skills.

About your team

The Technology function provides IT services to the Fidelity International business, globally. These include the development and support of business applications that underpin our revenue, operational, compliance, finance, legal, customer service and marketing functions. The broader technology organisation incorporates Infrastructure services that the firm relies on to operate on a day-to-day basis including data centre, networks, proximity services, security, voice, incident management and remediation.

About your role

Technical Specialist is a seasoned technology expert who is highly skilled in programming, engineering and problem-solving skills. They can deliver value to business faster and with superlative quality. Their code and designs meet business, technical, non-functional and operational requirements most of the times without defects and incidents. Understand system requirements, analyse, design, develop and test the application systems following the defined standards. Key Responsibilities
  • Work with Technical leads, Business Analysts and other subject matter experts.
  • Understand the data model / design and develop the ETL jobs.
  • Sound technical knowledge on Informatica to take ownership of allocated development activities in terms of working independently.
  • Working knowledge on Oracle database to take ownership of the underlying SQLs for the ETL jobs (under guidance of the technical leads).
  • Providing the development estimates.
  • Implement standards, procedures and best practices for data maintenance, reconciliation and exception management.
  • Interact with cross functional teams for coordinating dependencies and deliverables.
Essential Skills
  • Technical Strong SQL or Pl/SQL experience with a minimum of 7 years’ experience
  • Deep knowledge and Experience of using the Informatica Power Centre tool set min 3 yrs.
  • Experience of Source Control Tools such as GIT/SVN
  • Experience of using job scheduling tools such as Control-M
  • Experience in UNIX scripting
  • Experience in Data Warehouse, Datamart and ODS concepts
  • Knowledge of data normalisation/OLAP and Oracle performance optimisation techniques 6 + Yrs
  • Experience of either Oracle or SQL Server and its utilities coupled with experience of UNIX/Windows Functional
  • 5 + years’ experience of working within financial organisations and broad base business process, application and technology architecture experience
  • Experience with data distribution and access concepts with ability to utilise these concepts in realising a proper physical model from a conceptual one
  • Business facing and ability to work alongside data stewards in systems and the business
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and client facing skills
  • Ability to work closely with cross functional teams
  • Essential Skills / Experience Deep knowledge and Experience of using the Informatica Power Centre tool set
  • Deep knowledge of Oracle and SQL query writing
  • Experience of Source Control Tools such as Clear Case / SVN
  • Experience of using job scheduling tools such as Control-M
  • Experience in UNIX scripting
  • Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle

About you
  • B.E./B.Tech/MBA/M.C.A/Any other bachelors Degree.
  • At least 6+ years of experience in Data Integration and Distribution Total 7 to 10 years of relevant experience Knowledge of Agile software development life-cycle methodologies
