Job summary

Tekion is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join our CIO/PMO organization in Chennai, driving an enterprise-wide AI transformation. You will sit at the intersection of strategy, governance, and execution, shaping how critical programs are run and reported to the leadership team.

You will own governance structures, sprint cadence, risk management, and executive-facing deliverables, aligning cross-functional teams across geographies to deliver impact at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical program management experience.
• Experience in cross-functional leadership across geographies.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Agile/PDLC delivery frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with the CIO and leadership on critical transformation program strategy and delivery.
• Build and run program governance structures that scale with Tekion's hyper growth.
• Establish and continuously improve sprint cadence, story point estimation, Definition of Done, milestone tracking etc.
• Identify and proactively manage risks, blockers, and escalation paths across complex, multi-team programs.
• Drive structured program rollouts with defined scope, success metrics, and dependency management.
• Produce C-suite facing deliverables: program status decks, OKR scorecards, quarterly business narratives, and business proposals.
• Define and track PMO KPIs: delivery velocity, capacity utilization, and quality indicators.
• Build and maintain dashboards in Jira, Confluence, and other AI tools for real-time program visibility.
• Champion PMO maturity across teams- standardizing processes, governance frameworks, and reporting cadences.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Tekion is redefining automotive retail with a cloud-native, AI-native platform serving 1,700+ dealerships. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our CIO/PMO organization at a pivotal moment, as we accelerate an enterprise-wide AI transformation. This is not a conventional program management role. You will sit at the intersection of strategy, governance, and execution, shaping how critical transformative programs are run. Reporting into the Director, Technical Program Manager, you will be a key voice in building the PMO function and driving transformation across CIO Organization.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Partner directly with the CIO and his leadership team on critical transformation program strategy and delivery

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 7+ years of technical program management experience, with demonstrated ownership of complex, cross-functional technical programs
• 2-4 years of management consulting experience preferred at a recognized firm, with strong executive-facing communication and structured problem-solving skills
• Prior experience embedded in a PMO within a multinational company, you have operated across geographies, time zones, and cross functional teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership team
• Proven track record delivering programs in enterprise technology environments (GTM, Finance, Data/AI, or similar)
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Agile/PDLC delivery frameworks
• Well versed with AI LLM models and building skills/agents
