Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager in Gurugram to lead complex network initiatives across Asia, with emphasis on optical networks, topology planning, and coordination with vendors and internal teams. Strong program management and data-driven decision making are essential.

You will plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate tradeoffs to engineers and executives, aligning with Google’s global networking strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in technical projects or program management.
• 5 years of experience in optical network design and capacity planning.
• Experience in design of optical networks and traffic simulations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal business and cross-functional networking technical teams to identify and define tactical and strategic initiatives necessary to meet Google's network infrastructure needs for both expansion and cost optimization across Asia.
• Perform data driven analysis to develop network topology plan.
• Present network plans for approval by all internal stakeholders. Plan complexity will range from short-term metro augments to long-term region-wide strategies for Google network in Asia.
• Project manage the approved network plan with internal contributors such as network negotiators or vendor delivery managers to ensure infrastructure is delivered on-time.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define and improve business processes to enable automation, reduce lead time and manage changes.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with program management in the networking area with delivering infrastructure assets and vendor management.
