Job summary

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience or equivalent expertise.

Responsibilities

• Define the product vision, users, success measures, and multi-quarter roadmap for platform capabilities.
• Own backlog management end-to-end: discovery, prioritization, requirements, acceptance criteria, releases.
• Prioritize investments using adoption trends, user feedback, incidents, performance data, and themes.
• Drive alignment across engineering, architecture, and senior stakeholders; balance risks and timelines.
• Translate ambiguous needs into clear, testable requirements; deliver iteratively with engineering.
• Establish resiliency expectations, including testing for fault tolerance and degradation.
• Define disaster recovery readiness, including objectives, failover, runbooks, testing.
• Lead secure-by-default outcomes by collaborating on authentication, secrets, and threat modeling.
• Operationalize AI-enabled development practices across adoption goals and governance.
• Execute enablement and adoption plans: positioning, rollout, docs, training, feedback.
• Improve developer experience via scalable onboarding, templates, and support.

As a Product Manager in Consumer and community banking, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. Job Responsibilities

• Define the product vision, target users, success measures, and multi-quarter roadmap for platform and framework capabilities.
• Own backlog management end-to-end, including intake, discovery, prioritization, requirements, acceptance criteria, and release planning.
• Prioritize investments using quantitative and qualitative inputs such as adoption trends, user feedback, incident learnings, performance data, and support themes.
• Drive alignment across engineering, architecture, and senior stakeholders, facilitating trade-offs across risk, timelines, usability, and technical design.
• Translate ambiguous needs into clear, testable requirements and deliver iterative value through close partnership with engineering.
• Establish platform-level expectations for resiliency, including fault tolerance, graceful degradation, and testing practices that validate reliability under stress.
• Define disaster recovery readiness expectations, including recovery objectives, failover approaches, runbooks, and regular testing routines.
• Lead secure-by-default product outcomes by partnering on authentication and authorization approaches, secrets handling, vulnerability management, and threat modeling support.
• Operationalize artificial-intelligence-enabled development practices across four themes: adoption goals, prioritized use cases, workflow automation opportunities, and governance and controls (evaluation, testing, monitoring, and human review where needed).
• Execute enablement and adoption plans, including positioning, rollout approach, documentation, training, and feedback loops for continuous improvement.
• Improve developer experience through scalable onboarding, reference implementations, templates, and a support model that reduces friction and increases time-to-value.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Hands-on experience building and operating Java-based services, including application programming interfaces and distributed systems.
• 8+ years of product management experience (or equivalent expertise in a closely related domain).
• Experience defining product vision, success measures, and roadmaps and delivering against them in changing environments.
• Demonstrated backlog ownership, including discovery, prioritization, dependency management, and iterative delivery.
• Strong understanding of event-driven system design concepts (for example: messaging patterns, ordering, retries, and idempotency).
• Strong understanding of cloud and reliability concepts (for example: scaling, networking fundamentals, and multi-region resiliency patterns).
• Experience defining and driving non-functional expectations for platforms, including resiliency, disaster recovery readiness, and security outcomes.
• Experience using operational and customer signals (metrics, incidents, performance data, support themes) to make prioritization decisions and demonstrate value.
• Proven ability to influence senior technical stakeholders and drive alignment across a matrixed organization.
• Strong written communication skills for product requirements, decision records, and roadmap narratives.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Experience building or scaling developer platforms, shared libraries, service frameworks, or reference implementations.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Security ecosystems.
• Familiarity with reactive versus traditional web service patterns and schema-based interface approaches such as GraphQL.
• Experience defining governance for interfaces, including versioning and deprecation practices.
• Experience leading adoption programs for internal platforms, including enablement content and success measurement.
• Familiarity with observability practices, including service-level measures, logging, metrics, tracing, and incident review processes.
• Experience supporting artificial-intelligence-enabled products or development practices, including evaluation methods, monitoring approaches, and governance considerations.
