Job summary

Mage Data, Chennai, is seeking a product leader to own the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise data security products across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.

Lead AI/ML-driven capabilities, collaborate with engineering, marketing, and GTM teams, and translate complex tech into intuitive user experiences for enterprise customers.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of product management experience in B2B software or cybersecurity.
• Proven ability to prototype PoCs independently.
• Strong understanding of data storage systems (databases, warehouses, data lakes).
• Familiarity with SQL and data analysis workflows within enterprise IT environments.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and GTM functions.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
• High attention to detail and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own products end to end from market analysis and roadmap creation through feature definition, delivery, and adoption.
• Partner with engineering to define scalable architectures across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
• Guide engineering teams on AI/ML-driven capabilities, from discovery to AI data protection and monitoring.
• Create product specifications and user stories, and define intuitive user experiences for deeply technical capabilities.
• Coordinate with marketing, sales, and support to ensure releases have proper positioning, enablement, and documentation.
• Engage with enterprise customers to understand needs, validate direction, and remove adoption barriers.

Responsibilities

• Product Lifecycle Ownership: Own products end to end from market analysis and roadmap creation through feature definition, delivery, and adoption.

• Go-to-Market Readiness: Coordinate with marketing, sales, and support to ensure every release lands with the positioning, enablement, and documentation it needs.
• Customer Engagement: Engage with enterprise customers to understand needs, validate direction, and remove adoption barriers.

Must Haves

• 5 10 yrs of experience in product management, preferably in B2B enterprise software, cybersecurity, or data platforms.
• Strong technical bent with the ability to prototype or build basic proofs of concept (PoCs) independently.
• Strong understanding of data storage systems like databases, warehouses, file stores, data lakes etc.
• Familiarity with SQL, data analysis workflows, and enterprise IT environments.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Working knowledge of data governance, IAM (Identity Access), and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Experience with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and GTM functions.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• High attention to detail and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.
