Job summary

Mage Data is seeking a product manager to own data security software products from market analysis through roadmap, feature definition, delivery and adoption. You will collaborate with engineering to design secure, scalable architectures for cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments.

You will define user stories, guide AI-enabled capabilities, work with GTM teams, and engage enterprise customers to ensure successful releases and adoption in highly regulated industries.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of product management experience in B2B enterprise software or data platforms.
• Strong technical mindset with ability to prototype PoCs.
• Solid understanding of data storage systems and SQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and IAM.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own products end to end from market analysis through roadmap, feature definition, delivery and adoption.
• Define scalable architectures in collaboration with engineering for cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Product Lifecycle Ownership: Own products end to end from market analysis and roadmap creation through feature definition, delivery, and adoption.
• Technical Collaboration: Partner with engineering to define scalable, secure architectures that work across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
• AI Direction: Guide engineering teams on AI/ML-driven capabilities, from intelligent data discovery to AI data protection and AI-driven activity monitoring.
• Requirements & Experience Definition: Create product specifications and user stories, and define user experiences that make deeply technical capabilities intuitive.
• Go-to-Market Readiness: Coordinate with marketing, sales, and support to ensure every release lands with the positioning, enablement, and documentation it needs.
• Customer Engagement: Engage with enterprise customers to understand needs, validate direction, and remove adoption barriers.

Must Haves

• 5 10 yrs of experience in product management, preferably in B2B enterprise software, cybersecurity, or data platforms.
• Strong technical bent with the ability to prototype or build basic proofs of concept (PoCs) independently.
• Strong understanding of data storage systems like databases, warehouses, file stores, data lakes etc.
• Familiarity with SQL, data analysis workflows, and enterprise IT environments.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Working knowledge of data governance, IAM (Identity Access), and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Experience with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and GTM functions.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• High attention to detail and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.
