Job summary

Priority IDC is seeking a Technical Product Manager (TPM) focused on Security & Application Stability. You will partner with Security, Engineering, SRE/DevOps, Infrastructure and Compliance teams to translate risks into roadmaps, requirements and measurable business outcomes.

The role covers security product management, reliability initiatives, and collaboration across global teams to improve payment workflows and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Product/Technical Product Management.
• Experience owning technical products, platforms, or security initiatives.
• Strong understanding of enterprise and application architecture.
• Experience identifying security risks and driving remediation with Engineering/Security teams.

Technical Product Manager (TPM) Security & Application Stability

Job Summary

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager (TPM) to partner closely with our Security, Engineering, SRE/DevOps, Infrastructure, and Compliance teams and drive product strategy and execution for security and application stability initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical and product management background, with the ability to understand enterprise architecture, application architecture, cybersecurity risks, vulnerabilities, system reliability, and payment workflows.

This role will be responsible for translating complex technical and security risks into product roadmaps, requirements, engineering backlogs, and measurable business outcomes.

The role is ideal for someone with experience in Technical Product Management, Security Product Management, Application Security (AppSec), Cybersecurity, SRE, Reliability, FinTech, or Payments.

Key Responsibilities

Security Product Management

• Partner with Security teams to define, prioritize, and execute the security product roadmap.
• Understand enterprise and application architecture to identify security exposures, vulnerabilities, and risk areas.
• Define security mitigation strategies and translate them into product requirements, user stories, and engineering backlogs.
• Own the complete product lifecycle for security initiatives, including requirements, prioritization, development, delivery, and post-launch validation.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Infrastructure, SRE/DevOps, and Compliance teams to ensure timely delivery of security initiatives.
• Track and report security posture, vulnerability remediation, security risks, and compliance readiness.
• Evaluate technical risks and prioritize remediation based on business impact and risk tolerance.
• Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, application security practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Work with teams on security areas including authentication, authorization, encryption, secure SDLC, vulnerability management, and threat modeling.
• Support security and compliance initiatives related to PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR.

Application Stability & Reliability

• Drive product initiatives focused on application stability, system reliability, uptime, availability, and resiliency.
• Partner with Engineering and SRE teams to identify root causes of payment failures and application issues.
• Drive initiatives to improve payment success rates, system availability, latency, and error rates.
• Define and monitor reliability metrics such as:
  • Uptime
  • Availability
  • Latency
  • Error rates
  • Transaction success rates
  • Incident frequency
  • MTTR
• Partner with SRE/DevOps and Engineering teams on incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), postmortems, and reliability improvements.
• Define and maintain long-term application reliability and resiliency roadmaps.

Product Management & Stakeholder Management

• Own product strategy, roadmap, prioritization, requirements, and delivery for technical initiatives.
• Translate complex technical and security risks into clear business impact and actionable product plans.
• Work closely with Security, Engineering, SRE, DevOps, Infrastructure, Compliance, and Business teams.
• Manage dependencies, risks, priorities, and delivery timelines across multiple teams.
• Work effectively with global and distributed teams across multiple time zones.
• Communicate product roadmap, project progress, risks, and security/reliability metrics to leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
• Balance security, reliability, technical debt, and business priorities during roadmap and prioritization discussions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Product Management / Technical Product Management.
• Proven experience owning technical products, platforms, security products, or security-related initiatives.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and application architecture.
• Experience identifying security risks, vulnerabilities, or technical exposures and driving remediation with Engineering/Security teams.
• Strong understanding of application security concepts, including:
  • Authentication and Authorization

  • API Security
• Strong understanding of system reliability, application stability, uptime, availability, incident management, and performance monitoring.

• Experience working with global/distributed engineering teams and cross-time-zone stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in FinTech, Payments, Banking, or Financial Services.
• Experience with payment processing systems, payment gateways, transaction processing, and payment success/failure workflows.
• Experience improving payment success rates, transaction reliability, or payment application performance.
• Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks:
