Job summary

Quest Global in Chennai seeks an experienced Mechanical/Metallurgical engineer to lead Asset Integrity for Oil & Gas, overseeing RBI, fixed equipment inspections, and life-extension studies for offshore and onshore assets.

You will drive technical solutions, mentor engineers, and coordinate with customers, sales, and global technical teams. Willingness to travel to offshore sites and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of oil & gas experience in onshore/offshore integrity projects.
• Strong knowledge of RBI methodologies and fixed equipment inspection tasks.
• Experience reviewing technical scoping, estimations and mapping customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong technical leadership in Fixed Equipment and piping Integrity for Oil & Gas assets.
• Deliver technical solutions in Offshore/Onshore Asset Integrity.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide strong technical leadership in Fixed Equipment and piping Integrity domain for Oil & Gas both upstream/downstream assets
• Provide technical solution in the area of Offshore/Onshore Asset Integrity
• Has ability to provide innovative solutions /automations/ methodologies to build a differentiation for Quest
• Drive and manage Engineers to execute structural Integrity workflows with Quality at scale
• Provide pre-sales support for new business deals and post-sales support for the new projectsassigned
• Drive core team membersto recruit skilled resources and train internal resources to build required competency
• Coordinate the activities between customer, sales organization and global technical teams
• Flexible to make short business tripsto offshore offices & sites
• Lead,develop, nurture and manage global customer relationships and drive strategic partnering initiatives to address unique business situations and complex technology needs
• Review technical scoping, estimation, perform feasibility studies, mapping customer expectations and design solutions

Work Experience

Required Qualifications & Competencies:

• Engineering degree in Mechanical/Metalurgical engineering
• 15+ years of oil gas experience in related industry (Onshore/Offshore Integrity projects)
• Should have sound knowledge on Oil & Gas upstream and downstream business in the following areas
• Risk Based Inspection methodologies
• Fixed equipment inspection tasks/ procedures
• Inspection Optimization
• Fitness for Service & Life extension studies
• Repair scope preparation
• Fixed Equipment damage Mechanisms of Offshore & Onshore structures
• Familiarity with codes and standards
• Knowledge of any RBI software
• Excellent verbal & written communication
• Should be able to perform risk assessments of Offshore & Onshore structures
• Should have knowledge of corrective and preventative maintenance strategy
• Good interpersonal skills and working collaboratively with the other teams
• Experience with Office applications (Word, Excel, and Power Point)
