Job summary

NEC Corporation is seeking an experienced technology leader to drive the architecture, solution design and technical delivery of Digital Twin solutions. The role will translate business requirements into scalable, production-ready platforms and lead the journey from PoC/MVP to reusable enterprise-grade systems.

You will define and maintain the Digital Twin solution architecture, lead technical delivery, mentor teams and engage in presales activities.

Job description

Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced technology leader to drive the architecture, solution design and technical delivery of Digital Twin solutions. The role will translate business/customer requirements into scalable solutions and lead the journey from PoC/MVP to production-ready and reusable platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Define and maintain the Digital Twin solution architecture, including asset models, IoT/data ingestion, real-time processing, 2D/3D visualization, GIS, AI/ML integration, analytics and APIs.
• Translate business requirements into technical architecture, development plans and estimates.
• Lead & Manage of Digital Twin solutions.
• Design integrations with IoT/sensors, GIS, enterprise applications and external systems.
• Define cloud-native architecture using AWS/Azure/GCP, including microservices, containers, Kubernetes, databases and event-driven components.
• Guide development teams on coding, architecture, security, performance, testing and deployment standards.
• Mentor developers/architects and provide technical direction throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support customer discussions, technical proposals, demos and presales activities.
• Identify reusable components and ensure solutions can support multiple Digital Twin use cases, rather than becoming project-specific implementations.

Required Experience

Must Have

• 1015 years of experience in software development, solution architecture and technical leadership.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise applications/platforms from concept to production.
• Strong understanding of Digital Twin concepts, IoT/IIoT, cloud platforms, data and visualization.
• Strong experience with APIs, microservices, databases and system integration.
• Strong programming experience in Java, Python or Node.js.
• Experience with relational, NoSQL and time-series databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, InfluxDB, TimescaleDB or equivalent technologies.
• Experience leading technical teams, architecture/design reviews and end-to-end delivery.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, customer engagement and technical leadership skills.

Good to Have

• Experience applying Digital Twin solutions in one or more domains such as smart cities, utilities, manufacturing, transportation, infrastructure, buildings, public safety, healthcare or enterprise operations.
• Experience with Kafka, MQTT or other event-streaming/messaging technologies.
• Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD.
• Exposure to 3D/GIS technologies such as CesiumJS, Three.js, Unity, Unreal Engine or equivalent.
• Experience with real-time data processing, time-series databases and analytics.
• Experience integrating IoT sensors, SCADA/PLC, OPC-UA or industrial systems.
• Exposure to AI/ML integration within Digital Twin solutions.
• Experience designing multi-tenant and reusable Digital Twin platforms.
