Job summary

Ericsson is seeking an experienced senior backend developer with end-to-end cloud-native product development expertise in Python and ML. The role focuses on architecting scalable web applications, leading a team, and collaborating with cross-functional groups to deliver solid, high-quality software.

Applicants should have 12+ years in backend development, strong Python skills, and experience with Django/REST API/Flask/FastAPI, microservices, RESTful APIs, Pandas/NumPy, and cloud platforms

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 12+ years of professional backend development experience with a strong Python focus.
• Proficiency in Python and Django/REST API/Flask/FastAPI.
• Experience with Microservices architecture.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming (Python).
• Experience with Pandas and NumPy.
• Kubernetes and cloud computing (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Experience with Docker and containerization.
• Experience with MySQL and NoSQL databases.
• Exposure to security best practices in system design.
• Knowledge of end-to-end tests using Robot Framework and WireMock.
• Ability to write unit tests first before implementing features.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

• Team Leadership: Lead a team of highly motivated developers, conducting code reviews, mentoring junior members, and fostering a culture of excellence.


• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including backend developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers, to deliver cohesive solutions.


• Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices, integrating them into the development process to enhance efficiency and quality.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. “All academic credentials must be from recognized and accredited institutions and are further subject to verification.”


• min 12 years of professional experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Python.


• Proficiency in Python & Django/Rest API/FLASK/FAST API.


• Experience with Micro Servies architecture.


• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming (Python).


• Experience with Data Scrubbing and ML Libraries – Pandas, NumPy.


• Kubernetes and cloud computing – AWS/Azure/GCP.


• Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Spinnaker) and automated testing.


• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).


• Experience with Databases – MySQL, NoSQL.


• Exposure to security best practices in system design and implementation.


• Knowledge about end-to-end tests using Robot framework and wire-mock.


• Write unit tests first before implementing features to ensure the functionality is well-defined and testable.


• Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.


• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies.


• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills


• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
