Job summary

Rakuten Symphony is seeking a Technical Lead, Software Engineering to architect and deliver high-performance microservices in a cloud-native environment. You will guide design discussions, own end-to-end project delivery, and mentor engineers across Bangalore and Indore.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in software development, strong Java/Spring Boot mastery, Kafka experience, and hands-on Kubernetes/Docker expertise.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience with 2+ years in a Lead or Senior role.
• Proficiency in Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Microservices, RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
• Strong Kafka, NoSQL (Cassandra/DynamoDB) experience.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid knowledge of DSA and advanced system design concepts.
• Experience with testing (JUnit/Mockito) and observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable, secure microservices using Java/Spring Boot.
• Lead technical design discussions with documentation and diagrams for distributed systems.
• Own projects end-to-end from conception to deployment and monitoring.
• Mentor junior engineers and enforce engineering best practices.
• Manage containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes; optimize pipelines.
