Job summary

Happiest Minds Technologies is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services in Bengaluru. The role focuses on Scala/Java (with Python as an option), event-driven architectures, and building robust microservices.

You will contribute to architecture decisions, ensure API performance and observability, and collaborate with Product to deliver user-centric solutions, while participating in CI/CD improvements.

Qualifications

• 10 to 18 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Scala (Pekko/Akka, Cats, Cats Effect) and/or Java, or Python knowledge.
• Experience with Event Sourcing, CQRS, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Experience designing and scaling microservice architectures.
• Building and maintaining high-performance, resilient APIs.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, fault tolerance, and observability.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.
• Containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.

• Experience designing and scaling microservice architectures
• Building and maintaining high-performance, resilient APIs
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, fault tolerance, and observability
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture
