Job summary

Veolia group seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to support MCC, VFD, PLC panels and related electrical systems across water, waste, and energy projects.

You will prepare load lists, single-line diagrams, BOMs, and assist with technical bid evaluations while ensuring compliance with UL/NEMA/CSA codes. CAD drawings will be produced in AutoCAD Electrical, and you’ll collaborate with 3D modelling teams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Motor, MCC, VFD, PLC Panels datasheet based on UL/NEMA/CSA international codes & standard.
• Attending and preparing inspection reports for MCC/VFD panels and motors.
• Ability to read the tender specification and prepare technical queries deviation list.
• Preparation of Load list, IO list, single line diagram, system architecture, Loop drawing, Control schematic, Panel GA & BOM Fabrication Drawing documents in AutoCAD Electrical tool related to PLC and Power panel.
• Estimate accurate budget hours for the completion of assigned tasks.
• Experience in Low Voltage System design in North America, including UL508A, NFPA 70, UL698A, UL913, CSA 22.2, NFPA 497, NFPA 820 and ANSI schematics.
• Candidates should have experience in Allen Bradley/Siemens PLC.
• Complete Technical Bid Evaluation for Electrical items offers in line with codes & client specification codes, client specifications and project expectations (Cost/Time).
• Knowledge and experience in PLC control panel FAT and SAT.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with 3D Modeller on electrical equipments and cable tray installations.
• Guide 3D Modeller on electrical Equipments and cable tray installations on 3D model development.
• Knowledge of interface between MCC Panel/VFD to Automation system-hardwired or soft like MODBUS or Ethernet.

Must-Have Requirements

Knowledge of electrical load list, Single line diagram, Power and control Cable schedule, Cable tray and Earthing Layout and respective BOM’s.

Knowledge of all types of Electrical Equipment's datasheets.

Knowledge of inspection reports for Motor, MCC, VFD, PMCC and APFC Panel, cable, and Cable tray.

Guide 3D Modeller on electrical Equipments and cable tray installations on 3D model development.

Coordinate with inter-discipline for 3D modelling and layout preparation.

Good to Have Requirements (That Supports future Career progression in the Role)

• Simplifying and standardisation of PLC panel design & Electrical Design

Knowledge in detail BOP Electrical engineering (Cable Schedule, Cable Tray Routing, Earthing & Lighting calculation, and Layout etc.)
