Job summary

Synechron Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is seeking senior backend engineers to design, build, and maintain Java-based microservices that support enterprise identity and access management (IAM).

You will develop secure authentication, authorization, and entitlement platforms, and deliver scalable REST APIs and event-driven services. You will participate in architecture discussions, collaborate with product owners, architects, and security teams, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Backend engineering with 12+ years of software experience.
• Strong expertise in Java 17+/21 and RESTful API design.
• Experience with microservices architectures and cloud-native deployments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, IaC, and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with security, IAM, and enterprise identity domains.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices supporting enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) capabilities.
• Build secure authentication, authorization, entitlement, and customer access platforms.
• Develop scalable REST APIs and event-driven services.
• Deliver high-quality software using modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and DevSecOps.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
• Work closely with product owners, architects, and security teams.
• Leverage AI engineering tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.

Mandatory Skills

Backend Engineering 12+ years of software engineering experience

Strong expertise in: Java 17+/21 RESTful API design Microservices & Architecture Proven experience building: Cloud-native microservices Distributed systems High-availability platforms Event-driven architectures

Strong understanding of: Domain-driven design Design patterns API-first architecture Scalability and performance optimization Identity & Security

Highly desirable experience across enterprise IAM platforms especially SailPoint and identity ecosystems.

Front-End Engineering

Strong experience with: ReactJS TypeScript JavaScript HTML5/CSS3 Experience integrating frontend applications with secure APIs and identity services.

Data & Messaging

Experience with: Kafka Event streaming PostgreSQL MongoDB Redis Knowledge of high-volume transaction systems is preferred.
