Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited is seeking an experienced GenAI/AI engineering leader with 5–12 years of hands-on experience in Python backend development, API integration, and modular architecture. The role focuses on GenAI, LLMs, prompt engineering, and agentic RAG solutions, with exposure to cloud AI services and model APIs.

The ideal candidate will design, build, and deploy enterprise-grade GenAI applications, mentor engineers, and lead technical discussions across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Job description

• Strong hands-on experience in Python, APIs, microservices, backend integration, modular application design, debugging, and production-grade development.
• Deep expertise in Generative AI, Large Language Models, prompt engineering, embeddings, token management, structured outputs, and LLM-based application development.
• Proficiency with agentic frameworks, including LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, or equivalent orchestration tools.
• Experience integrating LLMs through cloud AI services and model APIs (AWS Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, OpenAI APIs, Anthropic APIs, or open-source endpoints).
• Ability to lead technical discussions, conduct design reviews, mentor engineers, estimate work, manage technical risks, and communicate with stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications

• 5–12 years of relevant experience in GenAI development, AI engineering, Python/backend development, ML/NLP application development, enterprise automation, or technical leadership roles.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience building, integrating, evaluating, or deploying GenAI, RAG, Agentic RAG, AI assistant, chatbot, document intelligence, or automation agent solutions.
• B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Electronics, Software Engineering, or any other relevant engineering stream.
• Equivalent qualifications such as BCA / MCA / M.Tech / M.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or related disciplines from a recognized institution.
