Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience including 2+ years in Technical Lead or senior leadership roles.
• Strong expertise in Python backend development and FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Hands-on GenAI/LLM development, RAG pipelines, and vector stores.
• Working knowledge of LangGraph, LangChain, MCP or comparable agent orchestration frameworks.
• Strong system design, scalable architecture, observability, and secure engineering practices.
• Experience with AWS or comparable cloud platforms, containerization, and CI/CD workflows.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary interface for feature acceptance, release readiness, and client demos.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead to provide hands-on technical leadership for an AI-enabled platform engineering team. The role involves translating architecture direction into executable technical designs, guiding Python/FastAPI and RAG/agentic implementations, maintaining engineering quality, and ensuring sprint commitments are delivered with production-grade reliability, security, and demo readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate platform architecture guidance into technical designs, sprint tasks, and engineering implementation plans.
• Lead hands-on development and technical problem-solving across Python/FastAPI services, APIs, RAG integrations, and agentic workflow components.
• Conduct design reviews, code reviews, technical grooming sessions, and implementation walkthroughs.
• Enforce clean-code practices, reusable design patterns, secure coding standards, testability, and documentation discipline.
• Validate technical estimates, identify delivery risks, and unblock engineers to ensure sprint commitments are delivered.
• Coordinate with AI Architects, Technical Architects, Backend Engineers, AI/ML Engineers, QA, DevOps, and Product Owners to resolve design and integration dependencies.
• Act as the primary technical interface for feature acceptance, release readiness, engineering-quality sign-off, and client demo preparation.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and promote consistent engineering practices across the team.
• Support technical troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis across platform components.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including at least 2+ years in a Technical Lead, Lead Engineer, or senior hands-on leadership role.
• Strong expertise in Python backend development, FastAPI or comparable API frameworks, REST API design, asynchronous/service-oriented patterns, and production-grade API implementation.
• Hands-on experience with GenAI/LLM application development, RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, vector stores, embeddings, and semantic retrieval.
• Working knowledge of LangGraph, LangChain, MCP, or comparable agent orchestration and integration frameworks.
• Strong system design and architecture skills, including modular service design, integration architecture, scalability, observability, reliability, and secure engineering practices.
• Experience with AWS or comparable cloud platforms, containerized deployment patterns, CI/CD collaboration, and release-readiness processes.
• Strong experience in code reviews, design reviews, technical estimation, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to translate product requirements and architecture decisions into technical stories, implementation tasks, acceptance criteria, and engineering deliverables.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior Technical Lead experience on a client-facing AI, data platform, or enterprise SaaS delivery team.
• Experience implementing or leading RAG, GraphRAG, knowledge-graph-backed retrieval, or multi-agent workflows.
• Familiarity with Databricks, MLflow, AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, Azure OpenAI, or comparable enterprise AI/ML platforms.
• Experience working in regulated, governed, or life-sciences environments with strong auditability, security, and evidence requirements.
• Experience preparing technical demos, implementation walkthroughs, and release-readiness presentations for client stakeholders.

Education

• B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI/ML, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Certifications in AWS/Azure/GCP, Python, architecture, Agile, or AI/ML engineering are preferred.
