Join us as a Technical Lead at Barclays, where you'll take part in the transformation of our digital ecosystem in the Mortgages domain, promoting innovation and excellence. You'll harness cutting edge technology to revolutionise our digital offerings, ensuring unparalleled customer experience.

To be successful as a Technical Lead, you should have experience with:

• Expertise of DevOps, hands-on experience in creating and maintaining CICD pipelines. Application delivery via DevOps, not only the infrastructure DevOps.


• CICD tools: Jenkins or TeamCity or Azure DevOps or Gitlab - Gitlab preferred.


• Good knowledge of Windows server, Linux systems.


• Scripting language: Python, Bash script or Shell script.


• Containerized Platform: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift and AWS.


• API/webhook integration for automation trigger. DB: Mongo DB, MS SQL Server, Postgres etc.


• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible or Chef or Cloud Formation.


• Code scanning: SonarQube, Wiz, Prisma scan.


• Experience with any cloud technology (preferably AWS).


• Good Knowledge on best practices, strategies, and processes associated with the ITIL (information technology infrastructure library) framework.


• Familiarity with SQL or other database query language.


• Knowledge and practical experience with GIT version control system.


• Good understanding of SDLC - SAFe/Agile.

Some Other Highly Valued Skills Include

• Experience with SonarQube, Chef, Private cloud, Nexus, Jira and Confluence.


• Familiar with Monitoring systems and log shipping solutions.


• Experience with AI enabled DevOps automation

Accountabilities

• Lead engineering teams effectively, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture to achieve project goals and meet organizational objectives.


• Oversee timelines, team allocation, risk management and task prioritization to ensure the successful delivery of solutions within scope, time, and budget.


• Mentor and support team members' professional growth, conduct performance reviews, provide actionable feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.


• Evaluation and enhancement of engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency, streamline workflows, and optimize team productivity.


• Collaboration with business partners, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure a cohesive approach to product development.


• Enforcement of technology standards, facilitate peer reviews, and implement robust testing practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
