You will design, implement, and optimize Layer 2 components, develop L2–L1 interfaces via FAPI/nFAPI, and ensure robust testing and debugging capabilities in a Linux environment.
We are seeking a highly skilled Layer 2 Developer with deep expertise in LTE eNodeB protocol stack development. The role focuses on designing, coding, and optimizing Layer 2 components (MAC, RLC, PDCP) with strong emphasis on real-time performance, scalability, and standards compliance.
Design, develop and maintain LTE Layer 2(PDCP/RLC/MAC) stack.
Design and optimize Uplink/Downlink scheduling algorithms (QoS aware, fairness, etc.)
Optimization of Resource allocation block.
Design, develop and optimization of HARQ process, Power control, SPS, TTI Bundling, Link Adaptation, CA, ENDC.
Implement L2–L1 interface handling via FAPI / nFAPI: encode/decode primitives, timing synchronization, error handling.
Implement L2–L3 (RRC) interface: configuration primitives, bearer setup/release, re-establishment procedures.
Read and translate 3GPP LTE Release 8–17 specifications directly into code, handling edge cases and error conditions.
Write and maintain unit tests with high code coverage for each developed module.
Debug L2 protocol issues independently — analyze PCAP captures, L2 traces, and scheduler logs to isolate root causes
Should be able to prepare LLD, HLD and Interface specifications
Expert in C/C++
Strong experience in Linux-based development with IPC and multi-threading
