Job summary

HealthEdge is seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to design and deliver scalable solutions in Java/J2EE on the backend and React on the frontend. You will work in an Agile team, participate in architecture discussions, and drive integration with multiple data sources and third-party systems.

You will lead features from design through implementation, mentor peers, and ensure quality through testing, CI, and code reviews while handling PHI/PII considerations in health insurance workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 9 years of development experience in Java/J2EE technologies.
• Hands-on experience with XML, Web Services (SOAP, WSDL), JMS, Spring and SQL.
• Experience in Linux operating system and WebLogic Application Server.
• Experience with integration middleware/ESB technologies such as iWay, Spring, or Apache Camel and OSGi containers like Apache Karaf.
• Proficiency in React.js and TypeScript, including Hooks, Redux, and Context API.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of an agile team to implement new features according to requirements while adhering to coding standards.
• Conduct detailed designs and lead design whiteboarding and creation of solution architecture.
• Lead in work breakdown of tasks.
• Lead peer reviews of design and code.
• Coordinate release management and bug triaging.
• Lead technical discussions with HealthEdge customers to find the best solutions.
• Perform data loads for UAT readiness and during UAT as requested.
• Support resolution of UAT identified issues and their triage.
• Contribute to implementing operational information and feeds documentation.
• Perform configuration migration and prod readiness tasks.
• Perform data loads for prod readiness.
• All duties per HealthEdge policies including PHI/PII handling.

Your Role

HealthEdgeis looking for a SeniorFullstackSoftware Engineer who is passionate about solving real-world business problems to join our team. As a Senior member of the team, you will be working on developing solutions thathelpour customers integrate with our product suite. You will be working as a problem solver with plenty of unique assignments within the department. You will be a key member involved with design discussions, coding on both the backend and frontend, and working heavily with the database and J2EE/integration technologies.

Your impact:

• Work as part of an agile team to implement new features according to the requirements while adhering to the best coding development standards.

• Conduct detailed designs and lead design whiteboarding and creation of solution architecture.

• Lead inwork-breakdownof tasks.

• Lead peer reviews of design and code.

• Conduct bug fixing, implement configuration migration processes, and other UAT readiness technical tasks.

• Perform data loads for UAT readiness and during UAT as requested by the UAT plan.

• Support resolution of UATidentifiedissues and their triage.

• Contribute to authoring the Implementation Operational Information and companion spreadsheet for feeds.

• Perform configuration migration processes and other PROD readiness technical tasks.

• Perform data loads for PROD readiness.

• Perform all job functions consistent withHealthEdgepolicies and procedures, including those which governhandlingPHI and PII.

Backend Requirements:

• Minimum of9years of development experience in Java/J2EE technologies.

• Hands-on experience with XML, Web Services (SOAP, WSDL, etc.), JMS,Springand SQL.

• Experience in complex data analysis, data migrations, and system integration of software products into complex IT environments.

• Experience in writing/understanding quality database queries or stored procedures that are reliable, scalable, and reusable.

• Development experience on the Linux operating system and WebLogic Application Server.

• Experience working with integration middleware or enterprise system bus (ESB) technologies such as iWay, Spring, or Apache Camel and OSGI containers like Apache Karaf.

• Experience with Design Patterns and Enterprise Integration Patterns, including file transfers, messaging, routing, transforming, enriching, etc.

• Experience with source control software (Bitbucket), unit testing (JUnit), and build automation/CI (Jenkins).

Frontend Requirements:

• Proficiencyin React.js and its core principles.

• Knowledge of React Hooks, Props, Redux, and Reducer framework.

• Experience withuseQueryanduseMutationAPIs.

• Familiarity with Context API.

• Strong understanding of TypeScript.

• Knowledge of Kendo UI is a plus.

Other Details:

• BS/BA in CS or related field.

• Excellent analysis, consulting, and communication skills.

• Previousexperience in customer-facing roles on professional services engagements.

• Experience in the health insurance industry (Payors) preferred.

• Experience with agile developmentmethodologysuch as SCRUM or Kanban.

• Travel for this position is typically less than 10%.
