Position Title - Spinning Technical Head – Sr. GM/AVP

Reporting to - COO

Place of Work - Based out of Edlapadu, (for all spinning locations)

Age - 45-55 Years

Job Description:

Spinning Technical Head will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects across all spinning units, ensuring efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement in the spinning process. The Spinning Technical Head will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage technical staff & manager, and implement best practices to achieve production goals.

Role and Responsibilities:

Process Optimization:

  • Evaluate and optimize spinning processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Implement technological advancements to improve product quality and reduce production costs.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Quality Assurance:

  • Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure the production of high-quality yarn.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify and address quality deviations promptly.
  • Work closely with the quality control team to implement corrective and preventive actions.

Technical Leadership:

  • Lead a team of technical professionals, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the technical department.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality control teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Work with R&D teams to introduce new fibers and spinning technologies.
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders to align technical strategies with overall business objectives.

Cost Management:

  • Monitor and manage the technical budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Implement strategies to improve resource utilization and reduce waste in the spinning process.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • B. Tech/Diploma in Textile Technology/Engineering.
  • 20–25 years of experience in spinning operations, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Exposure to modern spinning equipment (Rieter, Trützschler, LMW, Savio, Murata).
  • Sound knowledge of cotton fine and coarse counts, with the ability to manage production parameters accordingly to ensure yarn quality and consistency.
  • Strong focus on production efficiency, waste reduction, and cost control per kilogram of yarn produced.
  • Expertise in maintaining yarn quality to Uster standards and minimizing machine downtime (MTTR/MTBF).
  • Ability to drive multiple spinning units/location operations.
