BuildxPartners is a global talent solutions firm delivering end-to-end recruitment and workforce solutions across industries and geographies. Our Cloud Operations & Infrastructure team focuses on Reliability Engineering, with toil reduction and automation at scale.

We seek a cloud cost management professional to drive FinOps initiatives, optimize multi-cloud spend, and collaborate with product, sales, and finance to align cloud budgets with business goals in a fast-growing organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a SaaS environment.
• 2+ years of hands-on AWS experience.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, and OVH pricing and cost structures.
• Experience with cloud cost management tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, CloudHealth, Cloudability.

Responsibilities

• Create operational metrics and dashboards to monitor cloud costs, usage trends, and identify optimization opportunities.
• Develop and maintain a cloud resource tagging governance model across multiple cloud providers.
• Act as a liaison with cloud providers for recommendations on resource utilization and cost reduction.
• Manage reserved and dedicated cloud resources to optimize infrastructure spending.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Presales, and R&D on cloud cost management initiatives.
• Contribute to tools and processes that improve automation and operational efficiency.
• Identify and implement operational improvements to strengthen processes and customer satisfaction.
• Review and challenge deployments/architectures to optimize cloud costs.
• Provide hands-on support for infrastructure migration and optimization initiatives.
• Build financial and analytical models to support investment decisions.
• Prepare and present quarterly financial and optimization updates to executives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Business, Finance, Analytics, or a related field
  
• 5+ years of overall experience, preferably within a SaaS environment
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with Linux operating systems
• Strong understanding of AWS, GCP, Azure, and OVH cloud pricing and cost structures
• Experience implementing cloud resource tagging strategies and governance models
• Hands-on experience with cloud cost management and optimization tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, CloudHealth, Cloudability, etc.
• Experience automating deployments using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools
• Experience with container-based technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, and other CNCF ecosystems
• Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as Go or Python
• Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments
• Excellent organizational, time management, written, and verbal communication skills
• Experience building analytical and financial models to support data-driven decisions
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-changing business environment
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels, including executive leadership
