Job summary

Nicheforge is seeking a Senior Technical Engineer/Technical Lead with 10+ years in Electronics and Embedded Systems R&D, including 4+ years in leadership. You will own electronics hardware, PCB, firmware, and system integration for next-generation drone/UAV platforms.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, architecture design, and cross-functional mentoring.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in circuit design, embedded systems & Embedded C.
• Experience with ARM Cortex-M, bare-metal programming & communication protocols.
• Hands-on knowledge of PCB design, Altium/Eagle/KiCad, power electronics & BMS.
• Strong debugging, testing, EMI/EMC and reliability experience.
• Exposure to DFM/DFT, BOM optimisation, component qualification & indigenisation.
• Ability to lead technical projects, cross-functional teams and junior engineers.
• Experience in Drone/UAV, Aerospace, Defence, Robotics or safety-critical systems is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of electronics hardware, PCB, embedded firmware and system integration.
• Lead architecture design, firmware integration, validation and production transfer for drone/UAV platforms.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective embedded solutions.
• Drive project milestones, risk management and quality assurance for safety-critical systems.

The role involves end-to-end ownership of electronics hardware, PCB, embedded firmware, system integration, testing, validation, and productisation for next-generation drone/UAV platforms.

Key Requirements:

• Strong expertise in circuit design, embedded systems & Embedded C
• Experience with ARM Cortex-M, bare-metal programming & communication protocols
