Job summary

Qualifications

• 9–19 years of software/IT experience.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of large-scale technology projects from planning through production.

• Manage scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and escalations.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Delivery Manager / Engineering Delivery Manager to lead enterprise-scale technology delivery initiatives and manage cross-functional engineering teams.

The role requires a combination of Delivery Management, Project/Program Management, technical understanding, Agile leadership, stakeholder management, resource planning, and digital transformation experience.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience managing large and complex technology initiatives, working with senior client stakeholders, driving delivery governance, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of large-scale technology projects/programs from planning through production.
• Lead and manage large cross-functional teams comprising Developers, QA, DevOps, Architects and Technical Leads.
• Establish delivery roadmaps, milestones, release plans and execution strategies.
• Drive Agile delivery using Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
• Manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, issues and escalations.
• Conduct regular delivery governance and provide project status updates to senior leadership and clients.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Architects, Engineering Leads and client stakeholders.
• Drive resource planning, capacity planning, utilization and team ramp-up/ramp-down.
• Define and monitor delivery KPIs, engineering productivity, quality and project performance metrics.
• Identify delivery risks proactively and develop mitigation and recovery plans.
• Manage release planning, deployment readiness and production transition.
• Drive continuous improvement across engineering processes, quality and delivery practices.
• Participate in RFP/RFI responses, solutioning, estimation, proposal preparation and SOW discussions.
• Support cloud, DevOps, modernization and AI-driven transformation initiatives.
• Drive adoption of AI tools and AI-assisted software development across the SDLC.
• Manage senior client relationships and effectively handle escalations.
• Mentor engineering and delivery leaders and build high-performing teams.

Required Skills

• 919years of experience in the software/IT industry.
• 4+ years of experience in Delivery Management / Program Management / Engineering Management.
• Strong experience managing large-scale and complex technology projects.
• Strong experience in Agile, Scrum and/or Kanban.
• Excellent client and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong experience in resource and capacity planning.
• Experience in delivery governance, risk management and escalation handling.
• Strong understanding of software engineering and SDLC.
• Experience with technologies such as Java, Microservices OR .net OR Cloud, DevOps or similar enterprise technologies.
• Experience in RFP/RFI, estimation, solutioning and SOW activities.
• Strong communication, leadership and executive presentation skills.
• Experience driving digital transformation and engineering modernization initiatives.
• Exposure to Generative AI, AI-assisted development, AI agents or AI-driven SDLC is preferred.
