Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Chennai is seeking a seasoned Technical Architect to define technical solutions for TCS BaNCS Banking Applications, spanning Core Banking, Payments, Digital Banking, and Loan Origination. You will engage customers, defend architecture decisions, and lead teams across on-site and offshore deliveries.

The role requires driving architectural decisions, mentoring engineers, and delivering robust interfaces with other systems.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of listed technologies and frameworks.
• Prior exposure to customer-facing roles or prospect interactions.
• Willingness to learn and pilot innovations with minimal guidance.
• Experience in defining and maintaining architecture standards and best practices.
• Exposure to Apache Kafka and DevOps practices with hands-on containerization/orchestration.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native services.
• Good analytical abilities and effective communication.
• Proven team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Defining Technical Solution Architecture of TCS BaNCS Banking Applications in Core Banking / Payments / Digital Banking / Loan Origination.
• Engaging with customers to present, defend, and enhance the Technical Solution & Architecture.
• Leading a team to deploy TCS BaNCS Banking Applications in the customer IT landscape.
• Designing interfaces between TCS BaNCS and other applications using appropriate tech.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams on architectural decisions and implementation strategies.
• Develop thought leadership related to technology and architecture in relevant banking domains.
• Conduct architecture and code reviews and perform risk assessments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into technical solutions.
• Coordinate onsite and offshore teams to track deliveries and milestones.
• Provide reviews on critical technical dependencies and escalate as needed.
• Oversee lifecycle management of tech stack for TCS BaNCS and upgrade plans.

1. Defining Technical Solution Architecture of TCS BaNCS Banking Applications in the area of Core Banking / Payments / Digital Banking / Loan Origination
2. Engaging with customers in presenting , defending , enhancing the Technical Solution & Architecture
3. Leading a team to deploy TCS BaNCS Banking Applications in the IT Landscape of customers
4. Designing Interfaces between TCS BaNCS and other applications using the technology and frameworks
5. Mentor and guide engineering teams on architectural decisions and implementation strategies
6. Develop thought leadership related to technology and architecture in relevance of the domain Core Banking /Payments/Loan Origination/Digital Banking e.g. architecture for AI in banking etc
7. Conducts architecture reviews, code reviews and risk assessments
8. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
9. Coordinates onsite and offshore teams to keep track of deliveries.
10. Provide review on critical technical dependencies on the program
11. Monitor the gaps and make the right escalation to stakeholders
12. Responsible for Lifecycle Management activity for tech stack for TCS BaNCS and also responsible for any technology & Infrastructure upgrade
