Job summary

NeST Digital is seeking a seasoned Delivery Manager at its Bangalore location to lead software development and delivery for industrial automation projects. You will guide multiple TPMs, manage budgets, risks, and stakeholder expectations, and ensure successful delivery of complex turnkey/fixed-cost projects with customer-centric focus.

The role requires extensive experience in software delivery, leadership of engineering teams, and deep knowledge of industrial automation environments.

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Delivery Manager to leverage their expertise and leadership to significantly impact our success within our Bangalore location. This role owns Software Development and Delivery for Industrial Automation Projects, and will lead multiple Technical Project Managers (TPMs) driving the development and delivery of these projects.

What We Are Looking For

Responsibilities

• Capability name Behavioral Indicators Project Management Understand and apply effective planning, coordination and control methods
• Work with Practise team and build the project team against the Statement of work (Turnkey/Fixed Cost, T&M) agreed with customer Ensure the resource, tools, project plans are in place for the team to deliver
• Ensure the project team delivers what is committed to the customer by periodic review meetings and adhoc catch up’s
• Evaluate and mitigate the risks at various stages of the project execution
• Report the periodic progress updates, Risk, delays to internal customers through various project KPI’s
• Resolve the dependencies of delivery teams with clients and other teams.
• Address the issues, and non-conformances reported by Process engineering team
• Management of team/project delivery issues: evaluate impact, propose and implement alternatives
• Manage, monitor, and report budget costs per project Relationships - Commit to Customer Success Provide customer-focused services in line with project and organization objectives
• Building strong relationships with existing clients, proactively addressing their needs, and managing expectations.
• Developing strong working relationships with key stakeholders across new project engagements to ensure smooth delivery transitions.
• Liaise with senior stakeholders on key issues and provide expert and influential advice
• Plan and conduct Month Reviews (MR) with the client managers

People /Team Management

• Resourcing - Ensure Working with Practice/Competency team and Hire adequate and right resources for the team effectiveness
• Talent Management - Ensure adequate on boarding and training for the team members to enhance capability & effectiveness
• Provide opportunities for skill enhancement and career advancement.
• Manage team attrition
• Mentor and groom TPMs/PMs on project delivery leadership to enable more hands-off delegation
• Performance Management - Set goals for the team, conduct timely performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to own direct reports
• Acknowledge and reward employees who actively share their knowledge. Knowledge Management Enable and maintain access to customer knowledge base
• Create and maintain knowledge about your Customer (KYC) – Who is who, Org charts, competition landscape, Customer business areas

Experience

• At least 15+ years of Industry experience in working and building software applications
• 15+ years of total work experience having worked with engineering service suppliers in one or multiple domains like in the Transportation, Healthcare, Industrial Automation
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Product Engineering preferably
• Must have development experience like Embedded or Digital technologies area for 6-10 years
• Owned end-to-end delivery of bespoke Software Development projects, including Industrial Automation projects JD – Delivery Manager
• Experience leading multiple Technical Project Managers (TPMs) for parallel software development and delivery workstreams
• Interest and aptitude for Industrial machines software development involving Servo, Gantry, and Camera/Vision systems, with readiness to work alongside the SW team on the shop floor where hardware-software integration is happening
• Ready to take on the challenge of managing external hardware dependencies, building relationships with external HW partners/teams to get things done with minimal escalations
