Job summary

Everseen is seeking a Level 1 Linux Administrator to provide frontline support for Linux servers and related applications. You will collaborate with the Tech Support team to ensure stable operations and timely issue resolution.

The role requires RHCSA, familiarity with Linux distributions, and experience with ITSM tools. You will work with cross-functional teams to maintain system health and apply security updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent work experience.
• RHCSA certification is required.
• Familiarity with Linux distributions such as CentOS, Ubuntu, and Red Hat.
• Basic Linux command-line tooling knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of ITSM tools.
• Basic knowledge of Ansible, Git, Kubernetes, Grafana and Prometheus.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level Linux support to end-users, including account management and password resets.
• Monitor the health and performance of Linux servers and address anomalies.
• Diagnose and escalate Linux system issues such as network, hardware, and application errors.
• Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux-based applications.
• Utilize ticketing tools (Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk) for issue tracking.
• Apply patches and updates to keep systems secure.

The Role

As a Level 1 Linux Administrator, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance with Linux-based systems. You will work closely with the Tech Support team to ensure the smooth operation of Linux servers and assist in resolving technical issues.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to end-users and assist them with Linux-related issues, including user account management, password resets, and application support.
• Monitor the performance and health of Linux servers, identifying and addressing potential issues or anomalies.
• Diagnose/resolve and Escalate Linux system problems, such as network connectivity issues, hardware failures, and application errors.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux-based applications.
• Basic Knowledge of the ticketing tools such as Jira, Service now, Zendesk.
• Basic Knowledge of Monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus
• Basic Knowledge of Git, Ansible, Kubernetes.
• Perform massive stack restart/configuration and deployment, Configuration changes as requested by band using tools like Ansible Tower, AWX and Virtual desktops.
• Apply patches and updates to Linux servers as necessary to keep systems up to date and secure.

Collaborating With

• Work collaboratively with Level 2 Linux Administrators to resolve more complex issues

Profile And Skills

• Bachelor's degree, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Red Hat Certification (RHCSA) Required
• Familiarity with Linux distributions (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat)
• Basic understanding of Linux command-line tools and utilities
• Basic Knowledge Ansible, Git, Kubernetes, Grafana and Prometheus
• Basic Knowledge on ITSM tools.
