Takeda is seeking a Tech Ops Team Lead for Data Operations, Reporting and Field Alerts in Bengaluru. You will oversee Databricks workflows, Power BI reporting operations, and ML-driven alert delivery, leading a team to ensure SLA-compliant, high-quality delivery for a US-based pharma client.

The role involves coordinating across data operations, analytics, and offshore delivery, driving automation and process improvements while mentoring engineers and analysts in a fast-paced pharma tech

Qualifications

• Total Experience: 6-10 years overall, with at least 2+ years in team leadership or Tech Ops coordination.
• Pharma/Life Sciences domain experience preferred (commercial or field ops exposure a plus).
• Technical expertise in Databricks operational workflows and monitoring.
• Power BI: dataset refresh, validation, publishing processes.
• SQL for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with rule-based and ML-driven alerting systems.
• Delivery leadership with SLA-based data/reporting operations and strong prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily Tech Ops activities across Data Operations, Reporting and Field Alerts; monitor job runs and data validations.
• Lead a team of data engineers, analysts, and ops specialists; assign tasks and ensure SLAs and quality.
• Supervise Power BI report refreshes, validation and publishing workflows; coordinate with analytics teams for enhancements.
• Oversee Databricks job monitoring, pipeline executions and failure triage; coordinate with Eng teams for fixes.
• Manage Field Alerts delivery to field teams; validate logic, monitor runs and ensure timely delivery.
• Act as first point of contact for day-to-day escalations; support dashboards and performance tracking.

Objectives/Purpose

Tech Ops Team Lead - Data Operations, Reporting & Field Alerts (Pharma Domain)

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Tech Ops Team Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of data and reporting delivery for a leading US-based Pharma client. The role involves managing daily workflows across Databricks-based Data Operations, Power BI Reporting Operations, and Field Alerts (business rule-based and ML-driven) processes. This position is part of the broader Tech Ops delivery organization and reports to the Offshore Delivery Manager, ensuring operational stability, SLA adherence, and high-quality delivery from the India offshore team.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Daily Operations Management Oversee and coordinate daily Tech Ops activities across Data Operations, Reporting, and Field Alerts. Manage job runs, data validations, issue resolution, and ensure smooth daily delivery cycles. Monitor Databricks workflows, Power BI report refreshes, and alert delivery pipelines for completeness and timeliness. Identify recurring issues and drive automation or process improvements to minimize manual intervention.
• 2. Team Coordination & Supervision Lead a team of data engineers, analysts, and operations specialists supporting multiple Tech Ops streams. Assign tasks, review progress, and ensure work completion within SLAs and quality standards. Conduct daily stand-ups, operational reviews, and cross-workstream coordination. Provide guidance, mentoring, and technical support to the team to ensure consistent performance.
• 3. Reporting Operations (Power BI) Supervise daily report refreshes, validation, and publishing workflows in Power BI. Ensure accurate data availability and accessibility for end users. Coordinate with business and analytics teams for issue resolution, enhancements, and access governance.
• 4. Data Operations (Databricks) Oversee Databricks job monitoring, pipeline executions, and failure triage. Troubleshoot data processing issues and coordinate with engineering teams for root cause analysis and fixes. Maintain operational logs, documentation, and control reports for audit readiness.
• 5. Field Alerts Operations Manage the daily operational processes behind Field Alerts (business rule-based and machine learning-based) delivery to field teams. Validate alert logic outputs, monitor system runs, and ensure on-time delivery to downstream systems (e.g., CRM, email). Partner with analytics and data science teams for alert tuning, data validation, and performance monitoring.
• 6. Collaboration & Escalation Management Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day operational escalations from onshore stakeholders. Escalate critical issues to the Offshore Delivery Manager with impact assessments and resolution status. Support daily/weekly operational reporting, dashboards, and performance tracking.

Required Skills & Experience

• Excellent communication and coordination with offshore and onshore teams.
• Good-to-Have Skills Exposure to automation in Tech Ops workflows using scripts, triggers, or scheduling tools.
• Experience with data mastering/stewardship processes (HCP/HCO, product, territory data).
• Familiarity with CRM-integrated alerting systems (Veeva, Salesforce, etc.).
