Job summary

GreenWave™ Radios is seeking a senior firmware/software engineer to design and develop RTOS-based firmware for a 5G SoC. The ideal candidate should have over 12 years of experience in embedded software development, strong skills in C, C++, and Python, as well as familiarity with device driver development for SoC platforms. Responsibilities

• Design and develop bare metal & RTOS-based firmware/software for a 5G SoC – specifically device driver and lower PHY.
• Assist with definition, development, and verification of SW/FW products.
• Run & test developed SW/FW in simulation & on actual HW in lab.
• Collaborate with Applications, Systems, HW and SW/FW teams.
• Participate in architecture & code reviews.
• Produce documentation (design specs, user guides).
• Individual contribution with some technical leadership and mentorship.

Job Requirements

• 12+ years’ experience required.
• B.E EE/CS required, M.Tech EE/CS preferred.
• Strong coding skills in C, C++, Python.
• Experience with ARM or similar embedded SoC development environments.
• Hands‑on experience in RTOS.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum/Lean development flows.
• Excellent debug and communication skills.
• Device driver development for SoC platforms.
• Knowledge of Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, or other wireless standards.

Desirable Skills

• Prior SoC product development experience.
• Understanding of cellular wireless protocols (MAC/PHY), especially 4G LTE or 5G NR.
• Experience using Git and Jira tools.
