About your role:

At Fiserv, we are dedicated to transforming financial services technology to benefit our clients. As a Software Development Engineering - Sr Professional I, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.

What you\'ll do:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.

Experience you'll need to have:

• 7 years of experience in software development
• 7 years of experience in Java/J2EE programming languages
• Must have hands-on experience with JSPs, Servlets, Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, REST framework
• Hands-on experience with tools like unit, JIRA, API testing
• Cloud technology & ACH functional knowledge is an added advantage
• Solid understanding of security-based design patterns
• Experience with SOA and large distributed systems
• Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to learn and apply new technical concepts quickly.
• Translating requirements into defined UI specifications
• Strong understanding of unit testing, mocking, and integration testing is required.
• Guide and mentor team members
• Provide competent leadership and highly specialized and technical guidance to complex solutions architecture challenges, including but not limited to, the evaluation of UI technologies
• Coordinate with the Development Manager to ensure problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
• Strong ability to write technical documents, support requirements decomposition, coordinate working POCs and evolve to deployable code, and the ability to present designs to peers and Product Owner for approval.
• Deep understanding of all lifecycle components (code, test, deploy)
