Job summary

YASH Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer with 10-15 years of experience to design, build, and operate large-scale backend services for a Kubernetes-based industrial digital platform.

This hands-on individual contributor role requires strong expertise in distributed systems, microservices, APIs, security, Kubernetes, and production engineering. You will own complex features end-to-end, influence technical design, troubleshoot production systems, and mentor other

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of software development experience with strong backend focus.
• Proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript and either Java/Spring Boot or Go.
• Experience with Angular and backend API integrations.
• Strong background in microservices, REST APIs, and distributed/event-driven systems.
• Production experience with Docker, Kubernetes and/or OpenShift.
• Solid understanding of OAuth2, OIDC, JWT; Keycloak experience preferred.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/SQL and data stores like Redis, Kafka, Cassandra.

Responsibilities

• Own backend features from design and implementation through deployment and production support.
• Design reliable services with timeouts, retries, caching, resiliency, and observability.
• Drive technical and architectural decisions for backend services.
• Troubleshoot complex distributed-system and production issues.
• Contribute to authentication, authorization, and API security patterns.
• Write tests and conduct code and design reviews.
• Create technical documentation and operational runbooks.
• Mentor engineers while remaining hands-on and promote best practices.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer with 10-15 years of experience to design, build, and operate large-scale backend services for a Kubernetes-based industrial digital platform.

This is a hands-on Individual Contributor role requiring strong experience in distributed systems, microservices, APIs, security, Kubernetes, and production engineering. You will own complex features end-to-end, influence technical design, troubleshoot production systems, and mentor other engineers.

What You’ll Work On

• Design and build scalable backend microservices, APIs, and event-driven services.
• Develop applications using Node.js/TypeScript, Java/Spring Boot, and Go.
• Work with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, Cassandra, and graph/big-data technologies where applicable.
• Build secure APIs using OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, Keycloak, API gateways, and Istio.
• Deploy and operate services on Docker, Kubernetes, and/or OpenShift.
• Work with Angular applications and backend integrations where required.
• Collaborate with QA and Platform/DevOps teams on releases, observability, and production support.

Qualifications & Skills

Must Have

• 10-15 years of software development experience, with strong hands-on backend expertise.
• Strong experience with Node.js/TypeScript and at least one of Java/Spring Boot or Go.
• Experience with Angular and backend API integrations.
• Strong experience with microservices, REST APIs, and distributed/event-driven systems.
• Production experience with Docker, Kubernetes and/or OpenShift.
• Good understanding of OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, and authentication/authorization. Keycloak experience is preferred.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/SQL and technologies such as Kafka, Redis, or Cassandra.
• Knowledge or experience with graph and/or big-data technologies.
• Strong understanding of scalability, reliability, observability, and production troubleshooting.
• Ability to provide technical leadership, perform design/code reviews, and mentor engineers while remaining hands-on.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Keycloak SPIs, external IdP integrations.
• High-volume event processing, streaming, time-series, graph, or big-data systems.
• Industrial, energy, IoT, or other data‑intensive platform experience.
