Job summary

Adani Group in Ahmedabad seeks a Team Member-Sourcing to execute day-to-day sourcing activities, including RFQ creation, quote comparison, and documentation in SAP and Ariba. You will work with business stakeholders and the sourcing lead to deliver timely sourcing services.

The role supports MIS generation, tracks KPIs, and looks for process improvements. Candidates should have a graduate degree in Commerce/Management/Engineering and 2–5 years in procurement operations.

Qualifications

• Procurement or Sourcing Operations certifications (optional).
• 2–5 years of experience in procurement operations, sourcing execution, or techno-commercial support.

Responsibilities

• Execute RFQ creation, response tracking, and price comparisons as per SOPs.
• Ensure accurate and timely closure of sourcing service requests while adhering to SLAs.
• Maintain sourcing documentation including RFQs and vendor responses.
• Support MIS generation, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with procurement requesters, vendor representatives, and internal teams for smooth processing of sourcing transactions.
• Leverage SAP MM and Ariba for process visibility and efficiency.
• Drive onboarding and training alignment for new operations model.

Job description

Purpose/Objective

• The Team Member-Sourcing is responsible for executing day-to-day sourcing activities including, RFQ creation, quote comparison.
• The role ensures compliance with procurement policies, maintains accurate sourcing documentation, and supports smooth functioning of sourcing workflows in SAP and Ariba.
• This role works closely with business stakeholders, the sourcing lead, and other GCC teams to deliver efficient and timely sourcing services.
• The incumbent also supports MIS generation, tracks sourcing KPIs, and assists in identifying process improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities of Role

• Sourcing Operations Execution:- Execute sourcing requests including RFQ preparation, response tracking, and price comparisons as per defined SOPs.
• Ensure accurate and timely closure of sourcing service requests while adhering to SLAs.
• Process Compliance & Documentation:- Ensure adherence to sourcing policies, approval hierarchies, and governance controls in daily transactions.
• Maintain sourcing documentation including RFQs, vendor responses.
• Support audit preparedness by ensuring accuracy and completeness of sourcing data in the system.
• Report any compliance deviations or process issues to the Lead – Sourcing.
• Stakeholder Coordination:- Coordinate with procurement requesters, vendor representatives, and internal teams for smooth processing of sourcing transactions.
• Resolve basic queries from business units and elevate complex issues to the sourcing lead.
• Collaborate with master data, governance, and contracts teams to align sourcing activities.
• Support vendor communications for document collection and clarification during the sourcing process.
• MIS & Continuous Improvement Support:- Update sourcing trackers, dashboards, and MIS reports as per the review cadence.
• Assist in monitoring sourcing KPIs such as turnaround time, compliance adherence, and request closure rates.
• Contribute ideas for improving sourcing efficiency, turnaround time, and vendor experience.
• Support adoption of new tools, workflow changes, and automation initiatives within sourcing operations.
• People and Performance Management- Ensure each operations team lead and operations team members (new /existing) are inducted to new operations model, expectations and governance mechanism including critical business scenarios - Drive and cultivate culture of Outcome focused customer centric organization by driving E2E process awareness / Business sector appreciation sessions with the operational team leads and members.
• Compliance, Governance & Service Delivery:- Drive adherence to SLAs/KPIs across PO processing and post-PO operations.
• Ensure contract and purchase order compliance through proactive monitoring of exceptions and deviations.
• Leverage SAP MM, Ariba Commerce Automation, and workflow tools to ensure process visibility and efficiency.
