JSW Steel in Vasind seeks an Environment specialist to support compliance management, monitoring, reporting, and regulatory submissions across coated operations.

You will contribute to ESG and carbon reporting, audits, and risk control, collaborating with teams to ensure adherence to MPCB, MoEFCC, CGWA standards and ISO frameworks.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of work experience in the related field.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and reporting to MPCB/MoEFCC/CGWA.
• Knowledge of ERP portals and online compliance portals is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Execute monthly environmental monitoring and reporting activities.
• Assist environmental clearance submissions and post-EC compliance monitoring.
• Support ESG performance, GHG reporting, and data management.
• Coordinate audits and compliance assessments across coated business units.
• Support safety/training initiatives related to environment.

Role Objective

• Support environmental compliance management activities to ensure adherence to applicable environmental regulations and statutory requirements.
• Assist environmental monitoring, reporting, and regulatory submission activities to maintain compliance with environmental permits and approvals.
• Support sustainability, ESG, and carbon reporting initiatives to strengthen environmental performance and disclosure requirements.
• Assist environmental auditing, certification, and compliance assessment activities across coated business operations.
• Support environmental risk management, awareness initiatives, and pollution control performance monitoring to promote sustainable operations.

Critical Tasks / Role Responsibilities

Execution

• Execute monthly environmental monitoring activities covering ambient air quality, stack emissions, noise levels, water, effluent, and waste parameters.
• Execute performance monitoring of ETP, ZLD, ARP, and STP systems to support environmental compliance requirements.
• Support Environment Clearance applications and post-EC compliance monitoring across assigned sites.
• Execute sustainability projects, ESG performance scorecard tracking, GHG reporting, and BRSR/GRI-aligned sustainability data management.
• Support PR to PO activities for regulatory and environmental service requirements.
• Execute storm water drain surveillance and environmental risk control activities to prevent contamination and compliance deviations.

Governance

• Execute environmental compliance management and regulatory reporting activities for MPCB, MoEF&CC, CGWA, and other regulatory authorities.
• Execute preparation and submission of MPCB quarterly compliances, annual returns, half-yearly returns, and statutory environmental forms.
• Support IMS internal audits across ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and ISO 9001 frameworks.
• Support OHS benchmarking across Coated Business units and maintain compliance-related audit readiness.

People

• Support environmental awareness training, EMS induction, and Shubharambh induction activities for employees and contractors.

Technology

• Execute statutory compliance monitoring and reporting activities through the LLCS Compliance Portal.
• Execute sustainability performance reporting activities through the So-Fi Platform.
• Support regulatory submissions, environmental clearance compliance reporting, and approval tracking through the PARIVESH Portal and XGN Portal.

You May Be Additionally Responsible For

• Coordinate compilation and submission of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) annual returns across coated business sites.
• Support administration of safety protocols across coated business sites as Safety Administrator.
• Assist environment and sustainability award assessments, external evaluations, and certification-related activities.
• Support emergency response activities as a member of the Emergency Response Team.
• Assist coordination of training, workshops, and knowledge-sharing programs related to environment, sustainability, and safety.
• Support implementation of biodiversity, environmental management system, and cultural committee initiatives as assigned.
