Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented engineering team member to coordinate and execute HVAC preventive maintenance schedules, manage breakdown records, ensure adherence to SOPs, and support HVAC validation to maintain operational efficiency and reliability. This role supports HVAC in a validated and qualified state as per SOP and regulatory guidelines, CAPA closure, contributing to seamless production operations, regulatory compliance, and effective resource utilization.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Operation and maintenance of HVAC systems for pharmaceutical formulation and utility equipment (Chiller). Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure periodic requalification, HEPA replacement, AHU asset robustness, and preventive maintenance of utility equipment like AHU, Chiller, and Heat Pump.
- Prepare the Preventive Maintenance Plan (PMP) and maintain records of breakdowns and maintenance activities. Ensure minimum critical and non-critical spare parts are available.
- Monitor air quality, load distribution and energy efficiency across utility systems. Implement and track energy conservation measures aligned with corporate sustainability goals.
- Coordinate with external contractors and agencies, review and ensure implementation of Work Instructions and SOPs related to production operations.
- Train and assist team members during troubleshooting, breakdowns, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Ensure inventory control for all instrument spares and maintain balance investigation processes.
- Plan, consolidate and submit the maintenance budget for the allotted area/unit; ensure maintenance expenditure stays within budget.
- Ensure availability of all process equipment and regular maintenance of spares by coordinating with OEMs, external vendors, and SCM.
- Close and complete all assigned CAPAs on time.
- Support technical/documentation activities at site as instructed by the Section Head.
- Prepare, update, and maintain documents for audits (SOPs, formats, PM books, protocols, and machine history books) for the respective areas.
- Ensure facility upkeep in line with GMP and cGMP requirements and implement Good Engineering Practices (GEP).
Qualifications
Educational qualification: B.Tech./ B.E. / M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering
Minimum work experience: 6 to 12 years
Skills & Attributes
Technical Skills
- Experience with large HVAC systems, preventive maintenance, equipment breakdown maintenance, and predictive maintenance.
- Troubleshooting and breakdown management of utility equipment (Chiller, Air Compressor, heat pump, etc.).
- Experience in managing preventive maintenance plans and project management.
- Ability to prepare energy reduction plans in HVAC.
- Knowledge of GMP and GEP; ability to lead for regulatory audits.
Behavioural skills
- Strong communication and collaboration to coordinate with cross-functional teams and external contractors.
- Attention to detail for preventive maintenance, documentation, and inventory control.
