Job summary

Huron Consulting Group Inc. is seeking a seasoned RCM Team Manager to lead a large back-office RCM team in the US healthcare domain. You will drive daily operations, implement strategic tech plans, and manage metrics to ensure timely, accurate client deliverables.

You will oversee 50–70 FTEs, apply Lean Six Sigma for quality, and develop actionable insights from data. Night shifts aligned with US timings; strong communication skills required.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of US Healthcare – RCM industry experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma knowledge; certification an added advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and creating Excel macros.
  • Strong ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks of reporting simultaneously.
  • Adapt quickly to new and changing technical environments; strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead team management and service delivery of day-to-day back-office RCM functions.
  • Formulate and implement strategic plans for new technologies to support account growth.
  • Drive cost-saving measures within budget and improve efficiency.
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Allocate work, monitor performance, and prepare operational scorecards.
  • Generate periodic reports and analyze AR metrics to resolve issues.
  • Maintain client relationships and ensure on-time, high-quality deliverables.
  • Willing to work night shift / US timings.

As a RCM Team Manager, you will be responsible for team management, service delivery of day to day back office RCM functions to ensure customer satisfaction and to meet contractual SLA’s. Demonstrate leadership and take accountability.

JOB DETAILS:
  • Streamline core day to day operations in RCM processes in the US Healthcare domain
  • Formulate & implement strategic plans for new technologies & tools to support sustained profitable growth of the account
  • Well versed in executing cost saving measures and modifications to achieve substantial reduction and work within the given budget/cost
  • Understand & implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies of quality and complying with the norms of regulatory authorities
  • Prioritize work and deploy staff as required to ensure customer deliverables are met in regards to on-time delivery of service and quality of work
  • Manage, train & develops a work environment that promotes high motivation and customer satisfaction
  • Should have managed a team / group of 50 to 70 FTEs
  • Thorough understanding of RCM processes like Billing, Cash Posting, Credit Balance, Accounts Receivables, Denial Management & Correspondence review
  • Very good understanding of RCM metrics like Days in AR, Ageing above 90 days, Collections and bad debt
  • Periodically review teams performance and recommend performance improvement plan wherever required
  • Hands on in preparing daily, weekly & monthly operational metrics reports from the Practice Management/Billing System and workflow tool using MS-Excel
  • Identify trends and patterns from the generated reports and initiate action plan to resolve the AR issues
  • Responsible for work allocation / distribution to the team and monitor the team work
  • Create and maintain daily operational scorecards to track and report KPI’s; assist in volume forecast and capacity planning as required
  • Generate and distribute management reports in accurate and timely manner
  • Perform data analysis for generating reports on periodic basis including adhocs
  • Establish a strong relationship with Team Managers by demonstrating the gaps, trends & patterns identified during the data/report compilation
  • Drive improvement projects on productivity, improve SLA’s and quality
  • Ensure brand integrity through adherence to standards and procedures in an effort to attain established profitability goals and brand awareness in the market place
  • Communicate with existing and prospective clients
  • Willing to work in night shift / US timings
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 12+ years of US Healthcare – RCM industry experience
  • Good knowledge of Lean and Six sigma / Certification in Lean and other quality practices an added advantage
  • Proficient in MS Excel and creating Excel macros
  • Strong ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions and develop actionable recommendations
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks of reporting simultaneously
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new and changing technical environments as well as strong analytical, problem solving and quantitative abilities.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills are required.
