Autoliv India is seeking an Assistant Manager / Team Leader – Program Management to lead customer-focused programs from award through successful product launches. This role requires strong project management capabilities, cross-functional leadership, and commitment to delivering projects on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5-6 years of PM experience in automotive.
  • Experience with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from initiation through successful completion.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, Quality, Finance, Sales).
  • Monitor milestones, risks, issues, and escalations.
  • Drive customer communication and alignment on objectives and timelines.
  • Track project financial performance including revenue, costs, EBIT targets.
  • Manage project scope changes and assess impacts on timing, quality, and cost.
  • Ensure compliance with company processes, quality standards, and customer requirements.
  • Facilitate project reviews, governance meetings, and status reporting.
  • Ensure successful product launches (SOP) and achievement of project KPIs.

About the Role

Autoliv is looking for a highly motivated Assistant Manager / Team Leader – Program Management to lead customer-focused programs from project award through successful product launch. This role requires strong project management capabilities, cross-functional leadership, and a commitment to delivering projects on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards.

You will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, profitability, and successful launch execution while collaborating with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Purchasing, Finance, and Sales teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects from initiation through successful completion.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, Quality, Finance, and Sales.
  • Monitor project milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and escalation management activities.
  • Drive customer communication and ensure alignment on project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Track project financial performance including revenue, costs, profitability, and EBIT targets.
  • Manage project scope changes and assess impacts on timing, quality, and cost.
  • Ensure compliance with company processes, quality standards, and customer requirements.
  • Facilitate project reviews, governance meetings, and status reporting.
  • Ensure successful product launches (SOP) and achievement of project KPIs.
Experience
  • 5-6 years of experience in the automotive industry.
  • Experience in Project Management and Change Management.
  • Experience working with Indian and global OEMs is an added advantage.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Technical & Functional Skills
  • APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and 8D quality methodologies.
  • Project planning, budgeting, and cost tracking.
  • Risk management and mitigation.
  • Supplier development process knowledge.
  • MS Office, MS Project, and project management tools.
  • Program governance and stakeholder management.
Leadership Competencies
  • Strong ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

  • Support continuous improvement, localization, and cost optimization initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP Certification is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of Kannada and Hindi will be beneficial.
