Job summary

Datamatics Group in Mumbai (Andheri) invites a tax professional with 3–4 years of experience in Indian or international direct taxation to join the team. You will handle client communications, oversee deliverables, and participate in Canadian tax return preparation during live tax seasons.

The role involves mentoring the Canada taxation group, reviewing T1 returns, and ensuring accurate tax calculations while coordinating offshore activities and timesheet updates.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience handling Indian or international direct taxation projects.
• Experience with live tax seasons for Indian or international clients.
• Proficiency in Tax Prep and Profile for Canada returns is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with clients and ensure timely delivery of each engagement with quality and turnaround targets.
• Exposure to India/US/UK/Aus/Canadian personal tax returns/laws and compliance.
• Review Canada Individual (T1) tax returns and validate tax calculations by analysts with documented feedback.
• Mentor Canada taxation team and ensure high-quality deliverables in a client-facing setup.
• Manage day-to-day activities of the offshore tax group and timely submission of timesheets.

Job description

Location – Andheri (10 mins walking distance from JB Nagar/Chakala metro station)

Working days – Mon to Fri

Shifts –

• Females candidates – Rotational between 7am to 9pm and
• Male candidates – Rotational between 7am to 11pm.

Job responsibilities

• Handling client communications and managing all deliveries of each engagement to ensure the Quality and TAT is maintained.
• Exposure to Indian/US/UK/Aus/Canadian personal tax returns/laws.
• Reviewing Canada Individual (T1) tax returns
• Reviewing tax calculations by tax analysts and ensuring feedback is documented.
• Mentoring Canada taxation team and ensuring high-quality timely deliverables in client-facing setup.
• Manage and direct the day-to-day activities of the offshore tax group.
• Responsible for complying with daily submission of timesheets, updating workflow systems.

Preferred Skills:

• 3-4 years of experience in handling and managing Indian or any international direct taxation projects.
• Should have experience in handling live tax seasons for Indian or any international.
• Proficient in using various features of Tax prep and Profile for Canada tax returns preparation (Desirable not mandatory).
• Proficient in using Various individual tax return soft wares.
