Job summary

Amazon is seeking a motivated, customer-obsessed Team Lead to join our Middle Mile Sort Center operations in Haryana. You will be the frontline leader responsible for a team of 30–80+ associates during your shift, driving safe, efficient, and high-quality sortation from inbound dock to outbound dispatch.

This hands-on role requires you to spend most of your shift on the operations floor, engaging with associates, monitoring performance, and ensuring SOPs are followed while coaching your team for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in customer-facing environment, warehousing, logistics or manufacturing.
• Fluent in speaking, reading and writing English.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and peak/holiday seasons.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Pre-Shift Planning — Review staffing, attend leadership meeting, complete area readiness checks, and review plan for volume/CPT/bagging plan.
• Start of Shift — Deliver SOS brief, verify headcount and FCLM/CALM logins within 7 min, ensure associates scanning within 5 min.
• Shift Operations — Drive TPH across IB/Sort/OB, manage CPT priorities, track quality, monitor TOT hourly, manage labor movements, and handle exceptions.
• Safety — Conduct audits, enforce PPE/ergonomic standards, drive RIR/LTIR improvement, lead incident response and yard safety.
• People Leadership — Floor engagement, real-time coaching and feedback to the AA
• End of Shift & CI — Verify volume handoff, complete area readiness/5S, document shift handover, participate in Kaizens, and drive defect reduction.

As a Team Lead, you are the frontline leader responsible for managing a team of 30–80+ associates during your assigned shift. You will own the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of sortation operations — from inbound dock management through sortation to outbound dispatch — while developing your team and driving continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on, floor-based leadership role. You will spend the majority of your shift on the operations floor, directly engaging with associates, monitoring performance, resolving issues in real time, and ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-Shift Planning — Review staffing, attend leadership meeting, complete area readiness checks, and review plan for volume/CPT/bagging plan.
• Start of Shift — Deliver SOS brief, verify headcount and FCLM/CALM logins within 7 min, ensure associates scanning within 5 min.
• Shift Operations — Drive TPH across IB/Sort/OB, manage CPT priorities, track quality (FL, RL - NC/NNC, BM, MD and VPM DPMO, scan compliance), monitor TOT hourly, manage labor movements, and handle exceptions.
• Safety — Conduct audits, enforce PPE/ergonomic standards, drive RIR/LTIR improvement, lead incident response and yard safety.
• People Leadership — Floor engagement, real-time coaching and feedback to the AA
