Job description

Purpose of the Role:
  • 1. Formulate and implement strategies of Industrial Relation in line with organization goals and needs thro TQM model
  • 2. Formulate and implement strategies for Competent, Cultured and Committed workforce at all levels.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
  • Prepare, provide and manage the IR vision and strategy. Implement a strategic plan aligning IR and business strategy
  • Provide strategic input to business plans and maintain positive constructive relationship
  • Ensure compliance to all labour legislation and maintain good liaison and coordination with all Govt. Agencies like Factory Inspectorate, Labour department, PF, ESI and other Govt. Departments.
  • Play a pro-active role in legal compliance and ensure that LMW is a model company in corporate governance.
  • Counsel and advise functional heads and all employees regarding personnel issues and the appropriate interventions to address employee relation issues and monitor progress
  • Design and implement need based training for skill development to address manufacturing requirements including multi-skill and multi-machining operations.
  • Bring the best employee discipline within the company and achieve the Lakshmi culture of High performance & quality and thus resultant job satisfaction.
  • Ensure 100% performance accountability by each employee though on-line job card booking system.
  • Formulate strategies, programmes for Employee Engagement and execute the same.
  • Ensure implementation of TQM initiatives for all Workmen and flexible workforce for achieving management objectives of Zero Defect Products.
  • Maintain cordial industrial relation by meaningfully engaging with the Trade Unions and always be alive to the Trade Union dynamics.
  • Revisit update and formulate the best personnel policies and IR support actions for achieving business objectives, organization effectiveness and employee engagement.
  • Lead the strategic team of Personnel Department and direct/guide the team to perform their functions effectively.
  • Take necessary initiatives in associating with Manufacturing and Automation teams to reduce the flexi-labour and carry out manpower rationalization.
  • Responsible for administration of outsourced employee firms/flexi-labour/contractual workforce across all Units as per the statutes.
  • Prepare workforce for ACME and other development initiatives in order to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Co-ordinate with Cross Functional Teams and ensure proper implementation of new projects, consolidation of Units with regard to workforce.
  • Support and facilitate management in decision making, drafting, arriving of settlements, minutes and implementation of the same.
  • Collect and compile data and information regarding internal and external IR situations. Pro-active in IR climate
  • Plan and lead the process of change management with respect to workforce
  • Update legal knowledge and represent before legal forums
  • Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the management which may arise from time to time.
