The Stripe Delivery Center (SDC) strategy aims to provide operational leverage and expand Stripe’s capabilities to support our external users and internal teams. What you will do :

In this role, you will act as a player-coach, supporting financial crimes investigators. The Sanctions Team at Stripe focuses on ensuring compliance with sanctions regulations across multiple jurisdictions and identifying bad actors involved in financial crimes to mitigate risks. To succeed, you will need a coaching mindset, excellent communication skills at various levels, a proven track record of operational performance, deep expertise in financial crimes investigations, and a passion for inspiring your team to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Main responsibilities:

1. Coach and guide a team of in-office Financial Crimes Operations specialists.
2. Set the strategy for managing RFIs, tickets, and escalations efficiently.
3. Help your team identify risks related to money laundering, terrorism financing, and sanctions.
4. Oversee financial crimes investigations, including reviewing Stripe accounts and transactional data.
5. Monitor team efficiency, productivity, and workload to ensure cases are reviewed within SLA and with high quality.
6. Foster a positive culture and a safe environment that promotes growth and skill development.
7. Analyze performance data to inform decision-making.
8. Support recruitment and hiring initiatives.
9. Mentor team members through structured career development conversations.
10. Model Stripe’s values, emphasizing user-centricity, transparency, empathy, inclusion, and empowerment.
