Job summary

Sanmina-SCI Systems invites an Assistant Manager to lead Test Engineering (FA) activities, guiding technicians and ensuring SOP adherence across NPI and production.

You will drive FPY improvements, reduce scrap and downtime, manage spares and capacity planning, and implement CAPA with Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE with extensive experience in test engineering.
• Knowledge of quality tools and process improvements is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure SOPs for 5S, spares, downtime reduction, false failure reduction, validation, FPY improvement.
• Lead and train technicians, Sr Technicians, EA’s and Engineers.
• Drive product yield improvement, scrap reduction, and downtime reduction.
• Plan tester capacity for production and debugging; review forecasts.
• Ensure SOPs during validation of test fixtures and equipment.
• Coordinate supplier-related test equipment and audits; run daily KPI reviews for improvements.
• Lead CFT meetings and address escalated issues; verify IQ/OQ protocols meet CTQs.
• Perform periodic audits of assets and spares; implement improvements based on new product requirements.

Assistant Manager – Test Engineering - FA

Roles:

The Roles of the Assistant Manager in Test / F A Engineering department is to lead, guide and implement cost-effective methods to ensure no tester down time and ensuring Tester OEE meet or exceed the target. Also maintain and improve the day to day activities to meet or exceed the TE department’s KPI’s. Also ensure SANMINA SOP’s are met during NPI execution and production run. Train Senior / Technicians / EA’s strictly adhere to the SOP’s, Guide them to improve the product yield and to reduce the scrap and downtime.

Academic Qualification / Job Qualification:

1. Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering with more than 15 years experience (or)
2. B. E in Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation with 12 years experience and above

Responsibilities:

1 Ensure SOP’s are created for team responsibilities related 5S, Spares, Down time reduction, False failure reduction, Change over, Validation, Tester & Fixture buy off, FPY improvement, Escalation, Supplier support, Production plan execution & PM

1. Ensure the overall project plan for the Tester Equipment & Test Fixtures validation and qualification are executed on timely manner.
2. Lead, Train and guide the team of technicians, Sr Technicians, EA’s and AEs & Engineers.
3. Lead the project related to Product yield improvement, Scrap reduction and down time reduction.
4. Timely review of the forecast and plan the Tester Capacity for production and debug
5. Ensure the SOP’s are followed during the validation of the Test Fixtures and Equipments.
6. Ensure SOP’s and checklists are available to ensure supplier developed testers, fixtures and SW are meeting standard requirements
7. Daily review meetings to be conducted, summary of the KPI score card should be used to drive for improvement.
8. Ensure team participation in CFT meeting and act on the escalated issues.
9. Verify the IQ, OQ protocol inputs and WI inputs are meeting the CTQ’s and give improvement feedback.
10. Ensure periodic audits are carried out and give improvement feedback to the sustenance team

1. Guide the CFT team and Sustenance team on Failure analysis and CAPA on false failures to improve the first pass yield in the ICT and FCT
2. Cross check the Installation and Operational qualification plan prepared by the CFT members.
3. Ensure preventive maintenance plan for the tester, fixture & burn in chamber etc are executed
4. Ensure periodic audit conducted on asset, spares inventory and tally with the ordered vs usage
5. Ensure periodic audit conducted on the systems and procedures based on SOP’s, Improvements are implemented based on the new product requirements.
6. Activeparticipation in EHS related activities like Identification of aspects and Impacts, HIRA, Emergency preparedness, continuousimprovements etc and enable to report about hazardous situations to respective supervisor / department managers as required .

Authority:

1. Authorized to create Test SOPs documents.
2. Authorized to initiate the CFT discussion related to Line stop due to product quality issues found during ICT / FCT failures related to component, workmanship or process related issues and provide the solution to restart the line.
3. Authorized to Report the component, FW related failures of the product to customer for resolving and improve FPY
4. Authorized to approve the CAPA for the test related issues.
