Role Description The Team Lead at SKILLIT ACADEMY is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for overseeing academic delivery, learner success, and team coordination. This role includes planning and monitoring daily operations, assigning tasks, and guiding instructors, mentors, and support staff to ensure high-quality program execution. The Team Lead will track learner progress, review performance metrics, and coordinate interventions such as additional support sessions or mentorship to improve outcomes. They will collaborate with curriculum designers and management to implement improvements, maintain communication with learners, and address escalations professionally. The role also involves organizing schedules, ensuring adherence to processes, facilitating collaboration across departments, and contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and motivate a team of Sales Executives / Academic Counselors.
- Set daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets and ensure consistent achievement.
- Monitor individual and team performance using key sales metrics and dashboards.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and one-on-one coaching sessions.
- Train team members on product knowledge, sales techniques, objection handling, and closing strategies.
- Monitor the sales funnel from lead allocation to conversion and enrollment.
- Identify performance gaps and implement corrective action plans.
- Ensure effective follow-up with prospective students, parents, and other decision-makers.
- Handle escalated customer queries and support the team in closing high-value or difficult deals.
- Analyze sales data and prepare regular performance reports for management.
- Work closely with Marketing, Academic, Operations, and Customer Success teams to improve lead quality and conversion rates.
- Ensure adherence to sales processes, quality standards, and organizational policies.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve conversion rates, revenue, and team productivity.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and developments within the EdTech industry.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline; MBA/PGDM is an advantage.
- 2–5 years of experience in sales, with at least 1–2 years in a team-leading or supervisory role.
- Prior experience in EdTech, Inside Sales, B2C, Education Counselling, or high-volume sales is preferred.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of sales funnels, lead management, and conversion techniques.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and objection-handling skills.
- Strong leadership and people-management abilities.
- Comfortable working with CRM systems, Excel/Google Sheets, and sales dashboards.
- Ability to work in a target-driven and fast-paced environment.
