Tata Consultancy Services in Chennai seeks a Team Lead for Record to Report with 4 to 7 years of experience. The role manages end-to-end accounting, fixed assets, and month-end close, while supervising a team and ensuring SOX compliance.

Strong Excel skills are essential, with excellent client communication and process-improvement capabilities. The position operates in a 5:30 PM to 3:30 AM shift from Chennai.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or MBA in commerce/finance/accounting or related field is required.
• Regular, full-time education totaling about 15 years is expected.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office is essential.

Responsabilidades

• Manage end to end delivery of general accounting and fixed assets process.
• Supervise sub-processes: period end close, book closure, financial analysis, assets records updation.
• Identify issues and resolve them in consultation with the customer.
• Monitor SLAs and drive process improvements.
• Ensure books of accounts are updated regularly and SOX controls are followed.
• Coordinate training for staff on policy changes and customer requirements.
• Conduct periodic calls/meetings with customers to discuss SLA compliance.
• Coordinate with technology and quality teams; support month-end close and reporting.

• Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10 + 2 + 3)

Must Have Skills:

• Proficient in Excel and other MS Office tools.

Good To Have Skills:

• Passing Journal Entries and Ledger Postings
• Accounting to Fixed Assets transfer
• Thorough working knowledge of Lease Accounting
• Preparation of balance sheet recons
• Deep understanding of GL, Journal entries, Accounting, reconciliation and fixed assets.
• Handle a team with more than 10people and client management

Job Responsibilities

• Manage end to end delivery of general accounting and fixed assets process
• Supervise all sub-processes such as period end close, book closure, financial analysis, fixed assets records updation, etc.
• Identify day-to-day issues and resolve in consultation with the customer
• SLA monitoring and improvements in processes
• Ensure that books of accounts are updated on a regular basis
• Ensure all relevant controls are in place and adherence to SOX compliance
• Arrange for periodic training to the staff to be aware of the changes in the accounting policies and procedures as well as customer specific changes
• Periodic calls and meetings with customer to discuss SLA compliance
• Co-ordinate with various other functions such as technology, Quality etc.
• Support in month end close activities and reporting
