ISP is seeking a Teacher - Social Studies to plan and deliver engaging lessons at our Hyderabad campus. The role involves preparing lesson plans, teaching aids, and assessments aligned with the curriculum, and using interactive methods such as maps and charts to enhance understanding.

The candidate should foster analytical and geographical skills, monitor progress, and provide timely feedback to students and parents, while supporting learners with gaps or special needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in social sciences, B.Ed. preferred.
• Strong conceptual understanding required.
• Good communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to design engaging lesson plans and creative teaching aids.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and assessments as per curriculum.
• Use interactive teaching methods, including maps, charts and experiential learning.

• Prepare students for internal assessments, Checkpoint exams (if applicable), and school-based evaluations.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor s/master s degree in social sciences (History, Political Science, Geography, Sociology, or related fields), B.Ed. (preferred)
• Strong conceptual understanding.
• Good communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to design engaging lesson plans and creative teaching aids.
• Patience, empathy, and ability to handle diverse learners.
• Collaborative mindset to work with peers, coordinators, and parents.
• Proficiency in computer skills (MS Office, digital tools for teaching).
• Prior teaching experience of 2 to 4 yrs at school level preferred.
