Purpose of Role

To deliver engaging and effective English lessons aligned with the Cambridge Curriculum for Grades 4 and 5, fostering students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills while nurturing a love for the language and developing critical thinking and communication abilities.

Teacher – English - Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging English language lessons (reading, writing, speaking, listening).
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and assessments as per curriculum.
  • Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
  • Support and mentor students with learning gaps or special needs.
  • Promote literature and heritage through activities and events.
  • Organize and guide students in debates, recitations, drama, and cultural programs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, coordinators, and parents for integrated learning.
  • Participate in training, workshops, and staff meetings for professional growth.
  • Maintain student records, discipline, and adherence to school policies.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
  • Master’s degree in English
  • B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification will be advantageous
  • Strong conceptual understanding.
  • Good communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to design engaging lesson plans and creative teaching aids.
  • Patience, empathy, and ability to handle diverse learners.
  • Collaborative mindset to work with peers, coordinators, and parents.
  • Proficiency in computer skills (MS Office, digital tools for teaching).
  • Prior teaching experience of 2 to 4 yrs at school level preferred.
