Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is hiring for Playwright Automation with Chennai location. The role requires hands-on experience in automating UI and API tests using Playwright and other tools, with 4–10 years of IT experience.

You will design, develop, and maintain modular automated test frameworks, including POM, and work in distributed agile teams. Strong communication and ability to adapt to new technologies are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT with UI and API test automation.
• Develop and maintain Playwright-based web tests.
• Design and execute E2E, component, and API tests with Playwright.
• Proficient in Java, JavaScript, C#, Python for tests (Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured).
• Build modular automation frameworks using POM.

Role & responsibilities

Hands-on experience with Java Playwright

Strong knowledge of:

• 5 years of experience in Information Technology with expertise in test automation of applications from UI and API layer.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using UI Path, Playwright for web applications.
• Design and execute E2E, component, and API tests using Playwright.
• Candidate should have hands on experience of writing, maintaining automated UI and APIs tests written in Java, JavaScript, C#, Python using various open-source testing libraries like Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured
• Experience building test automation framework from ground up using modular framework and design pattern like Page Object Model design pattern (POM) etc.
• Implement and enhance Page Object Model (POM) and modular automation frameworks for scalability.
• Experience automating backend REST services including writing custom functions using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, Cypress, Ready API etc.
• Ability to migrate automation scripts from one framework to another.
• Experience with one or more querying languages such SQL (preferred), Oracle, MySQL and/or No SQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB etc).
• Experience working in distributed agile teams using agile frameworks such as SCRUM, SAFe, XP etc.
• Experience working with source code management tools such as GitLab, GitHub, AWS Code Commit etc.
• Experience of creating test reports from automation test run using tools such as cucumber report, Extent report etc.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new tools and evolving technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Develop/create master test plans and related documents, test cases, and test schedules.
