Vialto Partners is seeking an experienced US Taxation Specialist to drive compliance and optimize tax processes for employees on international assignments. You will mitigate tax risks and costs while ensuring adherence to global tax laws across multiple jurisdictions.

The role requires 6+ years in US Individual Taxation, a US CPA/EA, and strong communication and leadership skills to mentor juniors and collaborate with foreign offices and clients.

Qualifications

  • Commerce Graduate or MBA with US tax knowledge.
  • US CPA or Enrolled Agent is mandatory.
  • 6+ years in US Individual Taxation (Form 1040) in a recognized firm.
  • Signer of US Individual Income tax returns for 12-18 months.
  • Strong communication and leadership capabilities.
  • Experience with foreign offices and clients; mentoring juniors.

Responsibilities

  • Review and sign tax returns and related deliverables for globally mobile employees.
  • Provide tax planning advice, withholding responsibilities and social security guidance.
  • Educate employees on tax responsibilities for international assignments.
  • Explain tax equalization and protection policies to assignees.
  • Prepare supporting documentation to optimize tax positions and data analysis.
  • Maintain tax records and stay updated on international tax laws.
  • Present tax reports to management, auditors, and tax authorities.
  • Research country-specific tax issues where the organization operates.
  • Serve as primary contact for clients with employees on business trips.
  • Regularly update clients on trip assessments and ensure satisfaction.
  • Manage engagement finances including billing, collections, metrics & KPIs.

Job Summary

In this position, your role is essential in upholding compliance with tax regulations and optimizing tax processes for employees on international assignments. This position is key in handling the tax consequences of global mobility and facilitating a smooth transition for employees across different countries. Your main objective is to reduce tax‑related risks and costs, while ensuring that both the organization and its employees adhere to relevant tax laws

Job Description
  • Accurately review and sign tax returns and related deliverables for globally mobile employees within designated deadlines.
  • Offer specialized advice and strategic recommendations to internal teams regarding tax planning, withholding responsibilities, and social security contributions
  • Educate and counsel employees on their tax responsibilities and the potential implications of international assignments.
  • Provide guidance on tax equalization and protection policies to employees, ensuring clear understanding and compliance.
  • Prepare supporting applications and documentation to optimize employees’ tax positions, including comprehensive data analysis and communication with assignees.
  • Diligently maintain detailed tax records and documentation for accuracy and audit-readiness.
  • Stay informed on the latest developments in international tax laws and regulations.
  • Compile and present tax reports to management, auditors, and tax authorities, highlighting key findings and recommendations..
  • Conduct in-depth research on country‑specific tax issues, particularly in areas where the organization operates.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients with employees on business trips, offering exceptional service and support
  • Regularly communicate with clients to update them on the progress of trip assessments, address concerns and ensure client satisfaction
  • Responsible for the financial management of the engagement (this includes billings, collection, metrics & KPIs tracking )
Qualification
  • Commerce Graduate/Postgraduate, MBA.
  • A US CPA or Enrolled Agent is mandatory.
  • Experience: 6+ years in US Individual Taxation (Form 1040) in a recognized firm or Big4.
  • Should be a signer of US Individual Income tax returns for a minimum of 12-18 months.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in team management and responsible for quality control within the team.
  • Possess sound technical knowledge and excellent communication skills, along with analytical thinking ability.
  • Should have experience of working closely with foreign offices and clients.
  • Capability to guide and support team members with technical stands and queries.
  • Willingness to support team functions and experience in mentoring juniors in learning basic and new tax technical topics.
