The Tax Analyst supports direct tax compliance, reporting, and documentation activities. The role involves preparing tax returns, coordinating with auditors, and maintaining accurate tax records for regulatory and reporting purposes.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare income tax returns and support tax audit and transfer pricing (TP) audit processes.
- Coordinate with tax auditors, TP auditors, and statutory auditors for tax and TP audits.
- Prepare tax schedules required for statutory audits and quarterly accounts.
- Maintain and prepare transfer pricing documentation for tax assessments and audits.
- Handle TDS and TCS compliance activities.
- Prepare tax provisions and deferred tax calculations for group reporting.
- Compile and submit tax reporting packages.
- Prepare required documentation and data for tax assessments and audits.
- Ensure compliance related to SFT reporting.
- Reconcile TDS credit recorded in books with Form 26AS.
- Manage compliance related to dividend payouts.
- Reconcile expense-related TDS deductions.
- Assist with advance tax preparation and payment.
- Manage foreign remittances and coordinate obtaining Form 15CB from a Chartered Accountant.
- Maintain documentation and the direct tax database.
Stakeholder Management
- Build effective working relationships with the India Tax team, tax auditors, statutory auditors, and external consultants.
- Maintain close coordination with stakeholders to enable clear communication, smooth change management, and timely issue resolution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
